Excellent service. Food was good. Chicken sandwich was pretty small. Short rib sandwich was good but the bottom piece of bread... was real soggy. The pizza on the children's menu was the perfect size for the kids. Read more
Our second time at The Tavern and again they did not disappoint. We brought guests from out of town and had a very nice meal on... the patio. We enjoyed trout, 2 different salads and the Reuben sandwich. All were exceptional and tasty. We had super service byWill, he did n awesome job even while being busy. Great food but very very pricey. The bar inside is nice. We had Pot stickers, Tavern Chips, Classic Wedge, Chicken Alfredo,... Center Cut Pork Chop, Short Ribs and the Tavern Chicken. The Pot stickers, Classic Wedge and Tavern Chicken were very good. BUTthe Short Ribs were outstanding! Everything else was just okay. The outdoor patio is wonderful especially when they have a goodband.Seating is very limited on the patio The patio is dog friendly. Read more
Yes, the old dusty hotel feel is gone (as another reviewer angrily mentioned) but IMO the open space in the new location is a... great change and offers a ton of great options for groups. I'm sure with some time this place will develop its own particularambience. Parking is much better. The food is terrific and there is a great variety. The staff was personable and prompt. Thekitchen certainly knows the definition of a "medium" hamburger, something other places nearby struggle with. The Ghost Burgerwas great! The bun was not stuffy at all. A great bakery selection. Kudos to the kitchen staff! My only wish is more beervariety on tap. Hint:. New River is right down the street ????. Wonderful atmosphere . Our waiter was the best even busy he kept us like we were the only ones there and it was a full house. I... ordered French dip with house chips side of broccoli best french dip I ever had wife ordered grilled chicken with swiss cheesesauteed onions bacon side of broccoli she said it was delicious definitely found us a Jewel in west Jefferson.Thanks HotelTavern for treating us like family. The ranch fries are exceptional! Vegan burger was good. Coconut shrimp with rice noodles was great. Our waitress, Tiffany was so... nice and friendly. The management/owner? checked in on us, He was also extremely nice! Read more
Second visit here. First time was with a group of 7 people, this time two of us sat at the bar. We shared the crab dip... appetizer and it was wonderful. We had a dinner meal first time. Service was good both times. It has separate rooms so it holdsa lot of people but you don't feel like your in a huge cafeteria. It's uniquely laid out, finding the bathrooms is a shortjourney with an art gallery. Read more
