I have been to this restaurant several times over with mediocre food and service, but tonight was the best. The waitress was... amazing and so was the young chef. Food was not over or under cooked it was actually very flavorful tonight. We collectively hadchicken, shrimp, and steak and it was all prepared very well. The quality of the food was good, the sashimi took 45 min to come. We were both very disappointed in the sushi chefs. All three... were very serious the entire time. It must have been because they were so busy. We only spent 105 dollars for the two of us butgetting started some acknowledgment from them when we arrived or left would have been a nice touch. We have been to many sushirestaurants and the attitude of the sushi chefs can make all the difference in the world as to whether we return or not. We saidthank you as we left and one responded with a unexpected low thank you. If I were the owner I would ask my chefs to smile andattempt some basic friendly attitudes no matter how busy they were. Came to Utah for three days for work. This restaurant was by far the best we ate at hands down. Service was top notch. Patty,... our server was unbelievable. This was the first time I went to a place like this. The show was great. The chef was talented and he definitely had his routine... down. The only thing is the prices are crazy high for food that's only okay tasting. Ichiban gives you more food for like 3xless the bill. So if money doesn't matter to you totally go. I've been here several times over the years. Be prepared to spend a lot of money, but the sushi and food from the grill is high... quality and delicious. I was a little perturbed the last time I went in. On a Sunday night, I couldn't get through on theirphone after trying 4 times over an hour. It was always busy. So we just drove there and went in. I was quoted a 30 min wait,which ended up being closer to an hour by the time we were called and actually seated. And then we didn't get greeted for 20minutes until I let the hostess know. However, after that our server came promptly, took our order and brought out drinksimmediately. The Tepanyaki chef came out after only a couple minutes, even before our soup and salad arrived. I could tell itwas just an honest mistake or miscommunication and the server didn't know she was supposed to take our table. But her quick andprofessional response was impressive, and we had great service and amazing food until we left. Read more
