Went here last night! Music was great! Our server was awesome! But why in the heck am I paying extra for a highball made with... cranberry juice? Especially when I drink it half water and half cranberry juice? I have never been to any bar or pub thatcharges extra for cranberry juice!!! At the very least mention it on your menu! Or hide it in the price. Honestly the mostridiculous thing I've ever been charged extra for! ???? I also found that after 6 highballs (short, neat & pressed) I should ofhad a little bit of a buzz.... but I felt like I had drank water all night. I'd go back for the music but will only orderbottled drinks.... maybe then I won't feel ripped off. Read more
Stopped in with two of my buddies, Very sweet. Server kept us topped up on our drinks. Probably one of the best pub burgers I've... ever had and I'm out on the road 24/7 ( jack burger I think it was called. Buddy had lots of sticks. Very neat idea on that andthey were very tasty. TLDR: sub-par pub with kind of expensive food. Better to come with a group to drink than for the food. Went 7:30/8pm on a... Monday. Had their Cajun wings, sweet chili wings, and an order of fries. 2 soft drinks as well. We did not enjoy how muchbreading there was on the wings, nor how dry they were. The flavours were not bad. The fries were good at first, but the more weate the more of an unpleasant aftertaste we got. I think it was old frying oil? Very much bar service - brusk andinattentive. Forgot fries when our wings came out, and either she was really busy with other things or she hadn't put in theorder with the kitchen originally. Had to ask for refills. So, not too bad, but if you're going just for the food keep this inmind. Wasn't very busy, but a couple groups were well on their way to hammered. Whatever, it's a pub, again just something tokeep in mind. Overall, it was not for us. We probably won't be coming back. The wings do not live up to the hype. Read more
Exceeded my Expectations!!!! While working in the area for a few weeks, we came to this pub frequently for lunch. This place was... recommended by friends that live in the area and I now know why. While initially greeted warmly and friendly, I felt that thestaff were even more pleasant with every visit to the point of fun greetings upon walking through the door. It didn't take longto see that there were also many other 'regulars' who came for the same great environment no doubt. The had a decent selectionof beer choices, and couple of my favourite notable meals were the "Jack's Dip" and the "Jack's Burger" . Randomly stopped here during a road trip. Really great food and nice atmosphere. The server Rosie is an absolute sweetheart and... just made our night after an exhausting journey. Food is well prepared and servings are generous.Staff is friendly and very quick. My beef is the when patrons drink to much and... lash out at others in the bar for a considerable time byand nothing is done by staff to rectify the situation. Really the guywent a fifteen minute tangent at full volume disrupting the entire bar and not one staff member shut him down. Makes wonder ifthis is the kind of place I should be frequenting?????
