Service is super fast, sushi is super good. Wouldn't recommend dinning in, kinda a lousy environment, but probably one of the... best (or the best) sushi places in town. Read more

The worst Japanese restaurant ever. I?m Asian and I can tell you this. Everything is expensive yet not comes with good quality.... Even the rice tastes like some microwaveable product. Dude a nice rice bowl is like a bottom line of an Asian restaurant. I?mnot being mean but this restaurant deserves one star, especially when I pay more than average for the low-quality food as a poorcollege student. The fiesta grill right besides this restaurant offers you 3 tacos for like 9 dollars after taxes. Read more

Always love the quality and service at Maru. The salmon is on par with what i used to find in Oregon which is crazy at a land... locked sushi place. Gotta try the who's brain and the sushi delux. Anything tempura is fire as well. Read more

Sushi was reasonably priced and good variety of rolls, friendly servers, fine for a campus sushi place. Most of the rolls tasted... good but were not tightly rolled, so fell apart when picked up with chopsticks. The spicy crab salad or cooked shrimp in one ofthe rolls tasted off/spoiled. From the after-effects we experienced, it seems like some items may contain MSG, would be helpfulif this was noted on the menu. Read more

Had dinner for 3 today and the food was phenomenal. The way their menu and ordering works is ingenious, you're able to look over... the menu at your own pace and they come get it when you're ready, no hovering or asking if we're ready to place an order. Ourappetizer soups came out first, then all our food came out at the same time, which I personally prefer. Very friendly, professional staff. We got a specialty sushi roll, a regular sushi roll, 3 pieces of sushi, a soup dish, and a noodle dinner, and the subtotal was still under $60. Well worth the price, definitely a West Lafayette gem Read more

Very authentic! As a Japanese speaker and someone who has visited Japan, I can attest that the tempura is really well done, the... batter is thin and crispy. The ingredients are different. Haha, like broccoli and onion and cucumber, rather than thetraditional pumpkin, carrot, lotus root. Read more

Popped in here during a work day for lunch with some friends. We were seated right away at a freshly cleaned table. The staff... here are friendly, answer questions, give suggestions, and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered from thesushi menu. Their menu is quite extensive and they have all kinds of combinations they've created to meet a variety of tastes. Not all are the traditional sushi rolls, which I think can be fun to try a fusion of flavors. I think the appetizers are a bitoverpriced for the serving size, so next time I would opt for another roll over an appetizer. They don't rush you through yourmeal and you can add more to your meal as you go along. Our bill did get mixed up with someone else's, so if you go during thelunchtime rush hour, make sure you've got the right bill before you pay. Read more
