Nice view of river from indoor and also outdoor. For a fine-dine, has decent amount of options to choose from. However, quantity... of food can be less than your expectation if you choose a high priced item. Read more

My overall experience here was okay. The food was pretty okay. Nothing specific to mention, it was unsurprising. My main... complaint was that the space was really crowded and inside was extremely loud. I had to basically yell to hear my bf sittingacross from me. Also, smaller thing, the location where we were sitting made me uneasy. The floor itself was older and everytime anyone walked past our table, the whole floor would shake and give me triggers on my vertigo. Also, very unpleasing. Thisplace was an hour away from home, so needless to say, will not be revisiting. Read more

I've been to some quite nice steakhouses in Chicago and elsewhere, and I'm somewhat surprised to say that McGraw's provides a... value in terms of quality per dollar that is quite competitive with well-regarded venues in Chicago. The service was excellent, the food was high quality in terms of both ingredients and preparation, the ambience was subduedly elegant yet unpretentious andrelaxed, and the cocktails were lovely little creative twists on classics that dip one's toe into a chic and interesting area ofmixology typically occupied by upscale urban cocktail lounges while still remaining accessible to a less experienced palate - achallenging balance to maintain but McGraw's fully sticks the landing. There are a couple more restaurants I have to visitbefore I can be entirely confident in this designation, but to the best of my knowledge to date, McGraw's may be the finestrestaurant in Tippecanoe County. First, some history: According to their website, the building that now houses McGraw's has been part of the history of... Tippecanoe County for nearly two hundred years. The building and its property served various functions?an inn for a few years, aboathouse for a few years more. In 1948, the building was transformed into a restaurant called Stiney?s. As a restaurant,Stiney?s was famous for exactly the sort of food McGraw?s is known for today: delicious steaks, hearty meat entrees, and especially the fresh local catfish. Stiney?s signature cocktail, a delicious concoction of galiano, vodka, orange juice, and icecream, was named the ?whispering river? after the Wabash. In 1999 Stiney?s closed, but was reopened and transformed intoMcGraw?s Steak Chop & Fish House under the new owner, Todd McGraw. The Crispy Shoestring Onions appetizer was delicious andenough for four people. It is available as a side, also which I wish I had been informed of before I ordered the full size one.The French onion soup was so-so. The cheese was excellent, but some of the onions were in big pieces. Appearances can bedeceiving in the case of the Beef Stroganoff. The sauce was very thin and the beef had about one out of four pieces that wereinedible because they were fat and gristle. The scenery is unbeatable in West Lafayette. There are outdoor tables which would bewonderful when the temperature allows. Read more

Food was very good. Shoestring onions were amazing. Food service was a little lacking but not enough to lose a star. They also... had a great selection of canned craft beer. Read more
