everyone in this place seem to know everyone else which gave it a cool family feel like it's the go-to spot for people in West... Milford. I was just passing through but I was very pleasantly surprised at how delicious the bagel sandwich was. They don't evencall themselves a bagel place as much as a deli, but when you're inside it does feel more like a bagel place. The prices wereabout normal, not too expensive but not too cheap either. I?ve been going there for a long time and I?ve seen this many times, The owners treat their employees harshly and they?re rude... to the customers, in my experience the customer is always right but over there they have an attitude like it?s the best deli inthe world...It?s not that good they?re cold cut section is pathetic, The coffee is always out in the self-serve section in themorning and they never make a sandwich the way you asked for it. As the owner says it?s my way or the highway, that?s a loserattitude for a business owner and the only reason why they get customers is because they?re the only deli in town. Last weekend(8/18/18) I ordered my Son a regular old grilled cheese(2 slices of bread and maybe 2 slices of cheese). The cashier... rang me up $5.88!!!! I said: for a regular old grilled cheese? It says $3.50 on your menu board?? She glanced up and said:that?s probably one of the menu items we haven?t updated. I tried again: I see a grilled cheese with meat is $5.50(which I oftenget), maybe you rang me up for that? Nope, not the case; they literally are ?banging you? for $5.88 on a basic grilled cheese!!!Now don?t get me wrong, ALL THE STAFF THERE ARE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND NICE!!! But the pricing dynamic is WAY THE HELLOFF!! Not just the grilled cheese situation but they have devil dogs on the counter(not labeled for individual sale) for like$2.00 each!!! All kinds of stuff. Often my whole family will have me order from there and I always wondered why the totals werenever consistent even though I would buy the same things!!???????? So now they have definitely lost my business, my Son isalmost 10 years old and he even said: Daddy there?s no way to justify spending that much money on a basic grilled cheese!! Located in the small town of west milford so there isn't much competition for the public's stomachs and I was only in the area... for a thing for school; with that said my sandwich was very good. They used fresh ingredients and giant portions for a veryreasonable price. If I was in the area and was looking a deli I would go there again. Read more
