If you know BBQ, go somewhere else because Blue Ribbon in Newton will be a total disappointment. Not a lot of love in that... place. The meats (pulled pork and brisket) lacked flavor. Smoked lard is what came to mind. The BBQ sauces are served on theside and are not rich and thick. The sauces are watery and more vinegar than punch. The sides: the potato salad, green beans(canned) tasted as seasoned mostly with the vinegary liquid of canned jalapeno peppers. My last hope was the cornbread. I wasanticipating moist, warm cornbread brushed with buttery, warm honey during the last minutes of baking -- like a southern cookdoes. The cornbread was my last hope and greatest disappointment. Boston's best BBQ! Can't go wrong here with a large selection for every appetite. Love their brisket and burnt ends, the mashed... potatoes are perfect, baked beans Boston can vouch for and cornbread second to none. Wish they had a larger sit-in area andsomewhat skimpy on their serving sizes. Lemonade is good, too. Read more
Pleasant experience.... food was pretty good a little salty but it's BBQ what do you expect? I got take out and had to look over the menu because it had been awhile since I was here. Once in awhile I get Bbq cravings, and... this spot satisfies! I got brisket for my mom and me, and it was a heaping portion with a lovely mild sauce. So tender andthick, I got messy quick. It was delicious and we shared with my dad who also loved it. I love the black eyed corn medley, verydelicious! I got collard greens also as a side, and they were cooked well, but the seasoning was off for me on them. A littletoo salty and spicy. It took from the natural flavor of the greens. The staff were pleasant, and it wasn?t busy in the lateafternoon, food came promptly. it's been a while since I've been there but food was great got the half slab ribs platter, brisket platter, and pulled pork... platter. I'll come with two sides. You can fill your own extra barbecue sauces to go. Read more

Great deal. Got the half pints and the two meats were delicious. Love that you can order different meats w out having to do a... platter. Leftovers! Sauce is great - definitely vinegary, it's yummy and not your average flavor profile. Cornbread had a greatflavor, my piece was a little dry. Key lime pie was good but too sweet! still very enjoyable ???? Overall very satisfied - sonice to have a BBQ place with good food and great prices. Read more
