Dinner for three was wonderful. The Oyster special between 3-5 is a great happy hour appetizer to share. They were fresh and... delicious. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The kabobs are amazing with lots of choices. Thecauliflower side dish with pistachios is a must try. TV on the bar side has the games on and not extremely noisy. Great place Read more

Burger was full of flavor, fries hot and crispy. Very good service. I came with two other people and split two burgers. Will... definitely try this place again. Read more

Fantastic find. Came here for the first time with a party of six. We ordered two big plates of skewers and one of each side and... everyone raved. Food was great as were the cocktails. Great vibe as well, we loved that they played old school vinyl for thebackground music. Great place for a social diner with friends. Read more

Replacing the now defunct French restaurant Lumière, The Bluebird Bar is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise relatively stale... Newton dining scene, bringing a modern mixology program and food. We just went for cocktails and had a wonderful time, withstellar service and even better drinks. My Mai Tai ($13) was quite possibly the best iteration of the drink I've ever had and myother drink, the Desdemona ($14) was also delightful and tasted like a vacation I can't afford with those tropical notes fromthe passion fruit and orgeat syrup. The olives ($8) were a tad pricey but delicious - and were marinated in garlic andcitrus. I very much look forward to returning in the future for more drinks and some of their food. Glad there's something sovibrant in this sleepy part of town. Read more

Great drinks. We didn't eat here but we enjoyed after dinner drinks. They really know how to hook up well balanced yummy... cocktails. True mixologist in the house. The ambiance at the bar felt like a speakeasy or a British pub, but with much betterdrinks. Quaint, clean, uncluttered and enough room to enjoy your company. Read more

What an awesome neighborhood bar and restaurant! I just found out about this yesterday and went for dinner with friends. It's an... incredible little spot with great vibes. The food was really fantastic, stand up for me was the Barada dip and the shrimpskewer. I don't know what they marinated the shrimp in but they were absolutely delicious. Great selection of wines and a fullbar, all right there in W. Newton Square.Big thumbs up from me. Read more

I stalked the opening of this restaurant for so long and it was well worth it. From the moment you step in the door and are... greeted by the owners you can tell this place is special. The large bar is the center of the space, while comfortable banquetsline the outside. From the tin under-lit ceiling, to the smooth jazz playing in the background, this place is the essence oflaid-back luxury. When you look out the window at the West Newton Cinema, you feel like you could be in a scene from the 1920s.The creative yet familiar cocktails and comforting, delicious food, however, could only come from a modern kitchen and an ownerwho cares. I can't wait for my next trip. Read more
