If I could give it ZERO stars I would. The service was ridiculously slow, dismissive and unprofessional. After we were asked 3x... to clarify our orders, the food came out at all different times. Appetizers without plates for the table, trying to get napkinswas like pulling teeth. The staff seemed completely uninterested in the fact that they were actually at work. Ordered discofries with mozzarella on top and mozzarella sticks came out of the kitchen. Ordered a panini and got pita bread that was barelygrilled or warm. Ask for to go containers because we just wanted to leave and got charged $2 to go along with the 20% gratuitywe had no choice in paying!!! Our check was over $100 and we had no say in what we wanted to tip. We come from a restaurantbackground and would never leave a bad review like this. The experience was just that bad. Diners beware!! The past 3 orders we?ve Recd from The Americana Diner where far from quality. We?ve been going here for a long time, really... tried supporting them thru the pandemic when local businesses where sucking wind, so it pains me to leave this review. The pastthree orders have consistently have had issues, but todays was brutal: Cheese Omelette had to be tossed, totally inedible, theyforgot the toast, the bacon. Roast Beef Wrap was pretty much awful. The wrap itself was dry, crumbled apart when you tried toeat it. PACKED with lettuce, very little Roast Beef, and what was there, DRY. Add cheese? Ok, inflation it?s a couple more bucks- but how about ADDING IT. This meal was a failure. Very disappointed, I never minded paying for quality. Todays order,failed. Two stars for the onion rings. Great diner! Stopped here for lunch with a friend. We both got the cheesesteak and cheese fries. Delicious! Service was great... and the diner is old school, but very clean and inviting. Read more
Always a solid go to for my breakfast needs. I usually order takeout eggs benedict with well done homefries and hollandaise... sauce the side. My order is always correct even with my extra details. The food is packaged well for takeout and is still hotby the time I get home. No complaints! Read more
After a day of hiking we were looking for a place to eat and friend recommended Americana Diner. When we got there we were met... and seated by a very nice waitress. She asked us our order and had it down by memory at the first attempt, No pen and paper. Theportion size and food was good and worth the money. Will definitely go there again. Read more
Ordered a West Orange Combo, chicken fingers were trash and nothing but fillers. You can't sub except potato skins for fries. ... Your better off just ordering buffalo wings and fries. Melissa was pleasant, Thank you!. Read more
I tried this place with the kids and was amazed. What we had: basket of fried chicken with sweet potato fries (it was topped off... with onion rings), chicken noodle soup, hot dog, and grilled cheese sandwich. Great food, coffee, and service. We left full andhappy! Read more
We love NJ diners. Had breakfast twice this week while visiting relatives. On both occasions, we were very happy with quality,... quantity and delicious taste of our meals. All staff were very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this diner toeveryone. Also - parking was very easy in this downtown diner. Read more
