We came here to celebrate my birthday and it was a disappointment. The venue is nice, lots of indoor and outdoor sitting with a... bar with a laid back but elegant feeling. My sister had been there before and she recommended it, so we came. We ordered thefried calamari, it comes with marinara sauce to dip. The calamari is ok. I like it better when restaurants ise a corn basedbatter. The marinara sauce is bland, no flavor of any kind, nothing. I ordered the sweet chili sauce instead and tha was a hugeimprovement. As main dishes we ordered the risotto with shrimp, fish and chips, and I ordered the macadamia nut crusted snapperwith mashed potatoes and sweet potatoe fries (I know, two starches?). The risotto lacked flavor and it was not hot, more likeroom temperature, but the shrimp were tasty and cooked well. The fish I ordered was awful. All you could taste was oil. Theybrought me rice insyead of mashed potatoes, but the rice was bland an cold. So I told the server about the mix up. The mashedpotatoes were bland, no flavor of any kind, boring. The sweet potato fries was the only good rhung about my order. But I askedthe server to take my dish away, I was done. The only good dish was the fish and chips. The halibut was thick and moist, andgood batter. The chips were also good. Simce it was my birthday dinner we ordered the apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Thatwas excellent. I might give them a second try amdnsee of it was an off night, we came on a Wednesday. However, for the lack ofquality in the food, the prices do not reflect it. I expected more. Nice restaurant, large & comfortable tables, service was A-1, dishes we picked were really tasteful, pasta was perfectly “Al... dente” which was great. Downside was that I think it is a little pricey to go frequently. On other things, the leather seat atour booth was cracked all the way. I mean, for what am I going to pay I would expect everything to be in a neat condition,including the couch at the booth. I still plan to come back, next time for some drinks at their nice looking bar. Read more
I visited Bimini Twist 2 days ago. It was my second visit there in the past year and it was amazing. The service was great and... food delicious. Portions so big we couldn’t finish. I took my Pad Thai home and had it next day for lunch. We also had seafood(shrimps, sea bass, salmon, mussels) everything was really good. Key Lime pie was great too ! Oh ! Spinach ???? Read more
My husband and I come here almost every Friday night either by ourselves or with friends. We have never been disappointed with... the food or the service. Cheryl the manager is amazing always greets us with a smile and is so friendly, honestly it’s one ofour reasons for always coming back we feel like family here. We have tried almost everything on the menu and it has all beendelicious. One of our friends is also in the restaurant business so his standards are as high as ours and he has nothing butamazing things to say about the food and the servers. Even though I love everything they offer my absolute favorite is thelinguine and clams…mmmm so so good! The drinks are generous bartenders are awesome! Cheryl runs this place like a well oiledmachine and it shows, I don’t know what they would do without her. Can’t wait until next Friday! Read more
Was our first time visiting tonight. Server Tabitha was a true pleasure. The entrees took a long time to come out but tasted... fabulous. I had a temperature issue with my steak and the manager resolved it quickly. There was dust hanging off the ac ventsabove the kitchen, that was kind of gross. Also parking is a nightmare. We had to park in the grass by a ditch as no spots wereavailable. When we left there was a car that was stuck, they had to call for help they couldn't move the car off the ledge tothe ditch so be VERY careful when parking there! Read more
3 stars because the service is always good, but the food… it’s really gone downhill since we started going back out around... late summer. Been going to Bimini Twist since I moved here in July 2018, and it’s just not the same now. Last time we wentearlier this year I got the crab legs, the meat was dried out by the time I got them and they are not cheap. This time I got thescallops on lobster risotto with a side of green beans, the green beans were good after salting, the 4 scallops were over cookedas was the tablespoon of lobster meat that was on the risotto. The risotto was flavorless. Actually pretty much everything hadno flavor. My husband got the Delmonico and it was more fat than meat. This is the first time in 3.5 years of being together wehave not either eaten all of our food while at the restaurant or taken leftovers home. He NEVER leaves meat on his plate, ever,he left about 1/4 of his steak, unheard of. The only saving graces were our waitress Tiffany was very sweet, attentive andpersonable and the southwest chicken eggroll appetizer we got was really really good, they must be new and those I stronglyrecommend getting, very fresh with good flavor and seemed homemade. Bimini Twist was our go to restaurant for special occasionsor date night (like tonight), after a bill of over $187 before tip for 1 appetizer, 2 dinners and 4 adult drinks, date nightsare gonna have to move elsewhere. Very busy on a Saturday night even though it was only 5.30pm. We had reservations and were seated right away. Appetizers arrived... quickly and were amazing. We had one of the soups each and some shrimp. My husband had snapper and I had the coconut shrimp.Delicious. Our waiters as very nice too, so a great dinner from beginning to end. Yes, the bill is a little up there but forwhat you’re getting I feels reasonable. Read more
It was a party of 10, we had ordered all assortments of drinks, appetizers, and entrées during rush hour (5:30 to 8 pk on a... Tuesday during a holiday week), and Natalie, our server did an amazing job with a smile on her face. Her personality shinesthrough her beautiful face. Food was amazing. Natalie made the evening smooth. I have been here a few times and each time, hadenjoyed the food, service, and the whole dining enrollment. It's loud, it's cozy. It's delicious.
