Stop at Dontee'a dinner for breakfast on our way back to Orlando. There was no wait on Sunday morning. They had plenty of... tables and bar area to eat. Hubby had the hamburger with swiss cheese and home fries, and I had the corn beef hash withhasbrowns and two eggs. Everything were good and very attentive waitress. How this place has a 4.5 star rating is mind boggling. The table where we were seated and the surrounding floor was filthy. The... French toast was severely undercooked. The "avocado toast" should be renamed to "sprouts toast" because it's literally a 1/8thsingle slice of avocado on a piece of bread a slice of tomato, a few chopped red onion pieces and a huge pile of sprouts. As my South Florida food tour continues, I drove by Dontee?s and almost did not stop. It was located in a strip mall in a... building you often see chains, but I decided to try it out which was a very good choice. For a diner it is fresh and feltupdated and cared for. What I like about it most was the super friendly server staff. They really made the meal. I tried thesausage scramble and the combination of ingredients was a winner in taste. Coffee was good and the prices are very reasonable. I am glad I did not judge this diner by its building. Read more
Great breakfast. I ordered the cheese grits and shrimps. Big sized shrimps. My husband ordered pancakes, cheese eggs and gyro... meat. Tried the gyro meat and it was deliciously seasoned. Nice, clean and friendly atmosphere. Definitely will come again whenever I'm visiting!! Read more
