Last night was date night with me and my husband celebrating 15 years together. We rather good food than a boujie restaurant any... day of the week and this Hooks does not fall short of that. We decided to try this Hooks out, driving from Port St. Lucie toWest Palm Beach was worth every bit of gas. Delores! This ladies service was absolutely amazing. From when we walked in until weleft. She even came over to see if we were enjoying our meal. Being born and raised in South Florida it's rare you find a takeout restaurant with this type of service. We will definitely be back. It's hard to find the words to describe how unbelievably good their food is. It's funny too because we were looking on Google... for a restaurant to go to on a Friday night, and Chili's had a 45-minute wait. So, I went to the Googles to find another option,and this place popped up under "American Food", I have no idea why. I mean the title has "Fish" in it. That said, fish andchicken is what they serve, amongst a series of other sides and drinks. The restaurants business model is that of an actualrestaurant, but the bulk of their clientele is take-out. And I mean A LOT of take-out. But if you want to dine in like we do,you'll most likely always find an open table. I got a chance to talk to one of the owners and she pointed out that they cook"Real chicken", and the flavor speaks to that for sure. It is in my opinion that this the best chicken in town. I've also tastedtheir shrimp, catfish, and hush puppies. The hush puppies were especially surprising. They were not dry and had a really nice,garlicy flavor to them. The buffalo chicken strips are still my favorite though. But the menu is loaded with a ton of reallygood options, so I strongly suggest trying out several things. I haven't been disappointed yet. They have two locations, butI've only been to the one off of 704 Hwy (Okeechobee Boulevard). It is fantastic, and they are very pleasant there. Seriously,go check them out. Read more

From the moment I walked in til I left my experience was amazing. My first impression was how clean the place was. Then the... staff - EVERYONE was helpful, attentive, and friendly. Most importantly - the food. I ordered the platter with catfish, shrimpand fries. Everything was delicious. The fish was clean - none of that nasty fat that makes it taste so fishy - and perfectlyfried. The light cornmeal batter was excellent. Shrimp -lightly fried with a light batter. It was excellent.
