I've eaten here many times over the years and love it every time. It's got the usual diner feel but the food is great and the... portions are HUGE. I typically eat breakfast here and love the variety of meals: strawberry french toast, omelets, pancakes,etc. If you're looking for a small meal, you'd better share with somebody else. Oh wow! If you want down home good cooking this is the place to go bring your family bring your grandpa and grandma or Mom and... Dad but this is a really good place and the environment is so nice. Went to Jim's last night. Friday. It was packed. They added another person at the front so there was no line to be seated.... Different host and cashier. Smart move. They only had the regular two waiters vs 3 and we were seated in Olesea's area. It tooka while for her to cover 1/2 the restaurant but she is amazingly fast. I don't know anyone on the planet that works harder. Ifyou need something, she will come. Just keep looking at her when she appears. Someone said she favors different races. And I sayrubbish. People that know how to catch her eye will get great service even when she is swamped. The food was typical, reallygood and lots of it. We got the chicken Alfredo with soup and salad plus the fish and chips were on special which comes with adesert. If they are busy, plan a little extra time, but for just good food, they are worth it. My husband and I came here on a breakfast date. Tami our server was so sweet and attentive and made us feel young again.... Everyone who worked here was so nice. The young man who helped us with our payment was such a gentleman and complimented us andasked about our day. The food was great and they have the best hot chocolate!! We will definitely come back! The food was as you would expect from this type of restaurant. Hot, tasted fine portions decent. However I will NEVER eat here... again. Once we were sat our server came over to take our drink order, was quick to speak and didn't want to listen, extremelyrude and short with me and my family not a single smile or friendly look. Honestly I just thought she was new and focused onlearning the job. However shortly after a group of 3 Hispanic women were sat next to us, same server but they received warmsmiles a welcome tone, drink refills, and better than average service. **updated review- a year later, the food has somehow gotten even betferm the steaj fajita omelette is out of this world. Ask for... crispy pancakes and they are phenomenal as well. Nicest waitresses. Love Jim's! If you want to eat where you feel like you're athome (only with better food!) then this is the place. The staff is so friendly and personable, the food is comforting anddelicious, the steak omelette and pancakes is my fav! The portions are generous. And if you go on your birthday you get a sliceof their awesome pie with a candle and some singing!
