I come to this Blenz location quite frequently due to the ferries. Usually, the staff is friendly enough and efficient, but the... lady who was working here on Sunday, Sept. 4th at approx. 2pm was the worst. She seemed super annoyed that there were customersthere, and barely acknowledged our existence, and proceeded to keep chatting to the other staff instead, so I had to remind herthat I still needed to pay, and that I would like my sandwich that I ordered from the cooler. She wasn't even paying attention..Where do you find these people? just pick them off the street? It seems it's time to invest in some customer service training,or just hire more competent, friendly staff. I get it's minimum wage everyone else seems to at least give it some effort, so noreason why this lady can't.. Read more
We stopped here while waiting for the ferry and ordered 2 cappucinos. The barista called out lattes and I asked do you mean... cappucinos? She said oh it's the same thing! And they were the worst latte/cappucinos I've had in recent memory! Even thoughI typically prefer Blenz over Starbucks, in this case, I strongly recommend walking the extra block to Starbucks. This is the only blenz coffee shop I enjoy coming to. It's always a stop whenever I'm at the ferries. The two gentleman working... behind the counter give a warm and friendly welcome every time. Read more
Food made me sick, poor quality and a weird rotting taste. Given milk asked for oat, iced green tea latte tasted weak. Made to... pay the extra $1 for alternative milk after my payment was made. Card terminal is old, flimsy & didn?t accept anything otherthan tap. Go to Starbucks 2-3 stores down. Read more
Their lemonade has got to be the worst thing I have ever tried. It was almost bitter. Their croissants tasted good. But they put... their vegetarian croissants with their meat based croissants. It would be nice if they were in separate containers. Service wasgreat. But the lemonade really made my experience bitter (literally and figuratively) It looks extremely pretty but tastesreally bad. We got rudely kicked out by an unsympathetic woman who I never saw working there before. She was standing besides my friend... waiting for her to leave the patio while I was in the washroom. Mind you it was around 9.30pm and they're supposed to close at10pm. We came all the way from Vancouver because we enjoy this place so it was pretty upsetting to get told so unpolitely toleave before the closing time, as if we should have known. She also added "the patio is closed" and that we should have noticedwhen they started removing the chairs. No one told us before that they were closing it which we would have had no problem with.We were actually writing and reading so pretty much not paying attention to what was going on around us. Her behaviour was veryupsetting and makes me uneasy to come back to relax there. Read more
Perfectly located, very close to the ferry terminal and bus stop. Friendly and Informative staff and owner. Cosy environment and... the for sale available paintings in the cafe make it very relaxing to stay and enjoy the tea , coffee or shake. Loved my matchasmoothy and strawberry tea latte. The mugs and flesk are great last-minute gifts,too. Read more
We were visiting Horseshoe Bay a very lovely place, decided to grab a coffee. While wIting for my order we had received... everything but a hot chocolate. I TOLD THE LADY I didn't get the hot chocolate the lady making the drinks said yes she madeone and I said no she basically called me a liar saying if the lady making them said so then she did. I ended up buying anotherHot Chocolate. If the lady had shown me the receipt first I would have seen that the lady that took the order had missed thehot chocolate. However our orders were wrong and it is not good practice to insinuate your customer is lying. Will not returnto this coffee shop. Read more
