Visited 10/8/02. This afternoon I just dropped in to this nice establishment with my wife for a couple of slices but we were so... satisfied with our visit that we plan on returning for a restaurant meal. The counter service was very friendly, the pizzafresh and absolutely delicious. Same for the espresso. We'll be back. Read more
It was a good place and I'll definitely go back. We went on a Saturday night and they were really busy. We sat on the side... closet to the front door and while it was nice being able to sit quickly, but sometimes we felt a little forgotten. I had thegnocchi pesto and it was good, but it could have been better for me. Personally, I like a little more sauce and smallergnocchi. My friend had the rigatoni florentina and it was delicious. My cesar salad also needed a little more sauce. Butoverall, great experience and will definitely go back. Read more
Was in town visiting from Miami and wanted to get my fix for NY Pizza. Ordered a few different types. I wasnt impressed. Too... often I hear how other places are subpar with regards to Pizza. Well with high expectations I was let down. Cant say I got myfix on this trip. Very doughy and the temp of the reheat was off. Came here for dinner with the family and everything was great. The service was exceptional. The staff treats their customers... right and are very attentive. When they see you run out of complimentary bread they bring some more out. I got the buffalopizzeta which is a "personal pizza"- and the reason why I use air quotes is because it's enough to feed at least 2 people. Maybe3 depending on the appetite...which Hey I'm not complaining. I walked out of there with 2 days lunch. I wasn't a big fan of theleftover taste of the pizza but it's leftovers so. The rest of the family was pleased with what they ordered and had notcomplaints. One of the dishes was the fried chicken club which had lettuce, tomatoes, Mayo and Italian dressing. There are several Mama Theresa's on Long Island; however, this one remains my favorite. The chef and cooks here are expert in... making 25 varieties of pizza and every dish on their menu. My favorite is no longer on the menu, but if you ask for their HotAntipasto dish, you will be rewarded. Upon the platter are mozzarella sticks, baked clams, eggplant rollatini, stuffedmushrooms, and shrimp oreganata. It is flavorful and generous in portions offering you a worthy bread soak up. Another menu itemI especially enjoy is their Chicken Valdostana. It is excellent in taste and in the presentation. The chicken breast is moistand crispy on the edges. The stuffing of spinach and mozzarella is enhanced by the mushroom and Marsala wine brown sauce.Decadently rich, it is one you made need another day to finish as entrees come with a choice of garden salad or pasta. For anextra fee, you can add a variety of substitutions. There are a few other dishes on the menu with this delicious brown sauce too. The Chicken Verdi is egg battered instead of bread crumbs and has a light lemon & butter sauce with either spinach or broccoliwith melted mozzarella. This, too is another favorite. Whatever you delight if you visit here, it will be hard not to pass thefront end counters without ordering an item as an appetizer from there or to take home for later.
