After carefully explaining that one person in our party of 4 had a tomato allergy, we ordered a calamari appetizer with the... understanding that the tomato garnishes would be on the side. When the appetizer was presented it looked like they had followedthe instructions; however, when we began to serve it we found two cut cherry tomatoes under the calamari. When we pointed thisout to the waiter he made no effort to try and rectify the situation so the individual with the allergy, after having a coupleof pieces before we noticed, did not eat any more of it. Other than that, the four main courses were all served luke warm andthe fried clams had a rancid taste. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING! One positive, the setting on the deck is beautiful! Read more
Friends from out of town came to enjoy a beautiful dining experience only to be disappointed. We arrived for our reservation and... were put in an unkept back porch. We sat there for over 20 minutes and never were waited on. We left and went to the Ocean Houseand had a wonderful experience. Disappointing experience. Read more
Lunch at the Deck restaurant in Weekapaug Inn. All the staff we met were lovely, sure great location and we had a lovely spot... on the deck. Food was "nice" but quality not worthy of a relaise chateaux tag. Despite an expensive meal pitty a clear lack ofwait/kitchen staff meant they couldn't keep up with the few clients that were present (wasn't a busy Sunday lunch crowd either). Wasn't just us that had slow service but noticed every table. Folks can't hide behind the excuse of unable to hire staff . Sure they could if you pay them enough, which a place like this could easily do given the prices. Read more
I went with my family (party of 12) to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. We waited 20 minutes to talk to a server, an hour... for drinks, and an hour and a half for food. We didn't even get all of our drinks. We got a series of appetizers as well asentrees. But they made the executive decision to bring out both our appetizers and entrees at the same time, making our entreeis cold as we ate our appetizers. But they didn't even bring out all of our dishes. The temperature wasn't below 50s, there wereplenty of open tables inside yet they never even offered, when we asked if it would be too cold, for us to have a tableinside. The food was okay most of it came out lukewarm. Nothing to write home about. But my BLT was fine so I'm not giving onestar. There was an obvious lack of acknowledgment of our poor experience. This was our second time dining here. It is tastefully decorated as country meets rustic coastal. Upon entering you are properly... welcomed. The food is delicious and well appointed from biscuits to steak, cocktails. I wouldn’t recommend desert as it isbarely a 1/2 serving. The waiter was pleasant and mannerly but had forgot one of our breakfast items., by the time he broughtit, we had finished eating. We asked for our leftovers to be boxed to take home but after 15 minutes, we never saw him sounfortunately we could not get our leftovers. We waited a long time after the check arrived with no return of our waiter so weended up walking around outside to find him to let him know we left our payment on the table. Perhaps he had a urgent need sostill giving 5 stars. The hostess who also made our drinks was very friendly and kind. Do not look for huge portions orinexpensive food, but is worth it for the view, and the nice quality of food. Perfect for a small intimate dinner, date, orgathering. We found this gem while vacationing in RI. Amazing experience from start to finish! We were graciously greeted by Jonathan and... escorted to our table. Our server, Liz was delightful. The food was exquisite and the timing of the courses was perfect. Wecouldn’t have chosen a more beautiful setting to celebrate our anniversary.
