My husband was craving diner food, so he found this restaurant, and we decided to go there for its good reviews! We arrived... around 11:15 am on a Sunday morning. We were told to wait for 30-35 minutes and were seated at the counter after waiting for 45minutes. The long wait was not pleasant, but it was Sunday brunch time so we didn't get to complain. While we were sitting inthe waiting area, I could see how friendly, attentive, and professional the staff was. Very impressive! Everyone was doing whatthey were supposed to do with good intentions. I think this is the primary reason that makes me want to go back again! Thecoffee was strong enough and good as diner coffee. My husband ordered Meat Lover's Omelette, and I ordered French Toast and somebacon. I really appreciated the quality of the food! It was done to perfection as it was supposed to be! Our server was veryprofessional. She did care about what we needed and paid attention to details! The whole diner exuded a good vibe from the wholestaff there! Great American diner with a nice selection of breakfast options. There's usually a small wait-time, but the quality is worth it.... I always get an egg white vegetable omelet, but their french toast is great too. Read more
One of the best diners in Columbus for sure. I ordered a la carte eggs, sausage, loaded hash browns, and french toast and spent... only $7.50. Every dish was delicious. My friend ordered the breakfast sandwich: it was huge and had both bacon and sausage onit. They have a $3-4 breakfast special for anyone who comes before 7:30am too. Great staff, well lit and lots of seating.Definitely recommend this place and DK Diner in Grandview as the top diners in Columbus. Read more
I have had so many take out breakfasts here I think I have tried everything. Their omelettes are so delicious and jam packed... with fresh ingredients. My husband especially enjoys the Indy 500. They do a great job with the big Daddy - so good. Theirearly bird special is an amazing value and better than a fast food grab. Today I wanted to branch out and try the Pasta Salvi!I have heard and seen where it is delish and I can now agree. I had my husband pick up and they did an awesome job of puttingthe extra foil inside so it made it home crispy. I added cheese and a side of marinara after the nice lady on the phone steppedme through the options. I could hear the crunch when my fork cut through my first bite and the taste was so rich and satisfying! At first I was thinking it wouldn't be enough - it absolutely was the perfect amount! It is worth the stop in just to trythis. Overall they consistently are more than 5 stars! They consistently provide a better than delicious dish with great value,fresh ingredients and a smile and friendly approach. My next try here is gonna be some actual lunch !! Wow, my portions are HUGE.... This Indy 500 meal was excellent. It was huge, full of flavor, & I enjoyed every bite. ... Hashbrowns had a mild kick to it but was tasty. My waitress realized my eggs weren't scrambled & added the scrambled eggs as Iwas coming back from a clean restroom. Good experience & a good FILLING meal. Read more
We ventured out for a bite this morning and headed to Delaaney's Diner. It is set up like an old-fashioned diner with booths and... counter service. We liked the atmosphere, and it did not take long to be seated. The menu is breakfast/brunch driven but simpleand easy to read. We ordered our food and got hot chocolate. Our server, Nicky, was bubbly and attentive. The food came quicklyand was good. I like little diners like them because it is all there for you to see. First off let me tell you that we love this place! It has a retro evocative taste with friendly people. The staff was friendly... and quick to seat and serve. We waited about 20 minutes with a full restaurant and waiting area. We left with full bellies.10/10 Read more
