Food was the Portillo?s taste I remember from living in Chicago. I still can?t get behind the cake shake, just isn?t for me, but... I?d say it?s worth a shot to anyone who hasn?t tried it. Good food! The service only messed up my order 3 times.. You need to make sure you grab plenty of napkins and don't forget your... condiments! The restaurant would be perfect if they had actual servers. Nice environment!!! Read more
Heard tons of great things about this place and was treated to lunch by my FIL today and was very impressed. I got the two... Chicago style dogs combo and they were so so good!! Very disappointed. Pretty expensive for a salad, sandwich, chicken tenders, and fries. I also got a cup of chili and pictures is... what they gave me (for over $4), honey mustard for reference. Chicken tenders were also cold. Will not be coming back. Workerswere nice and service was fast though so that?s a plus. Read more

I mean, I love Portillo?s. The menu, the decor, the open layout are all top notch. I had the Italian beef and fries for lunch.... The wet Italian beef with hot peppers was delicious as one should expect, but to my disappointment at a 4/5 level, the beef hada touch of ziploc flavor. I don?t know if it?s storage, prep or what but it did detract from what was otherwise a fantasticsandwich. I did devour it without hesitations. I also do enjoy their fries and the available ketchup.
