We went this place for the first time. We ordered two beers and one red wine. Also we ordered Cottage Pie, Chicken Stroganoff,... Rail Burger, Pork Burger and two Chocolate Cakes. Everything was just Ok (just average American kitchen),not exceptionally great, not amazing or not true new American kitchen. The chocolate cake was fluffy but not moist. What a wonderful discovery — not just the food but the whole experience! We came in early on a Saturday evening, drawn in by... the beauty and charm of the old barn. Though we didn’t have a reservation, luckily we found seats at the chef’s counter,which was so much fun! We chatted up the cooks and watched all the food being prepared, which gave us a great preview of thewhole menu. Our food was spectacular! We don’t often do three full courses, but everything — from the mussels to thepersimmon chicken and Rail burger — was so unique and flavorful that we kept going through dessert. This is one of my favorite lunch restaurants. I love to dine outside and they have a great patio for a peaceful meal. Get the... rail burger—I’m no fan of burgers and this is the only place I ever eat burgers but this one is delicious! I’m also a bigfan of their salmon entree at dinner. The service is always top notch and they all seem to really enjoy working there. Theircarrot cake is wonderful but share a piece as it’s huge! Read more
