We tried Matsumotto for their lunch service this weekend, and I\'m so glad we did! The decor is beautiful and clean, the service... is wonderful, and the food is fresh and delicious! Amazing sushi selection, especially the sauce. Can\'t go wrong with any of the options in the menu. All the flavors go so well... together. My favorite was the Tuna tataki or the 911 roll. The crispy garlic and the buttery sauce compliments the melting tunaso well. Service was friendly, quick and attentive. Ambiance and decor was very simple and chic. Awesome ambiance from the lighting, to the decor, to the music. Sweet staff. Loved our waitress and the chef. The food was... beautiful and tasty and came quickly. There are lots of excellent non-sushi food items for the less-adventurous diners. A bitpricey, but that’s to be expected with good sushi. Not too busy at the start of dinner time. The food here is amazing! We started with the tempura appetizer, and it was the best tempura I’ve ever had. It was very light... with perfectly crisp panko flakes. Delicious! For our meal we had four rolls of sushi. The fish was very fresh and each roll wasdelicious. A special touch at Matsumotto is that they freshly grate wasabi instead of serving green horseradish paste. Once youtaste the difference, there is no going back. I highly recommend this restaurant. This is hands down the best sushi place in the Denver area! The food is incredible and the service might even be better. We were... so distracted by how good the food was that we forgot to take pictures of everything. You won’t regret having dinner here.Shawn, Josie, Ben and the rest of the staff will take care of you. I love the nigiri but also highly recommend the specialtyrolls (cyclone and firecracker are the ones we tried) as well as the tempura. We are happy to drive the 40 minutes (sanstraffic) from where we live to come. On top of the amazing food the prices are very resasonable. We will be back! Read more
