Definitely a good time any time. The shrimp salad is very good, I get that every time and finish it. Good amount of food for a... good price. Fun atmosphere, live music, great size bar, friendly staff, clean location. Absolutely family friendly, maybe moreof an adult crowd later in the evening/night. We happened upon The Stables around 11:45am yesterday and found they had an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet running until... 1:30pm. We looked at it and the menu, and decided on the buffet because it just looked so amazing. And it was. The cook made ourdaughter a Mickey Mouse pancake as well, and she just loved it. Came here for dinner last night hoping for a good time. Got seated fast. We ordered appetizers, soup, and crabs were what we... ordered for dinner. This is where the night got confusing. The board the waitress gave us said the crabs were $55 a dozen formedium so that?s what we got. There were tables all around us getting their food/crabs before we got ours. We were seated andordered before these people even got here. Took over 45min. to get our crabs meanwhile our appetizer and soups are finished.Fast forward to the end of dinner and we get our check -the $55 dozen crabs that were on the board ended up being $58 the creamof crab soup on the menu said $4.50 and we were charged $5.25 how can prices be different from the time we got there to the timewe left. When the waitress was asked what was taking so long all she said was she can?t do anything about what they do upstairsnot friendly or hospitable at all. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the bus boy we had that night was better thenthe waitress the tip should have gone to him. Thank you stables for making my dinner decisions easier. Not a good evening! Let me explain! Mother has dementia so tonight was not good. She had an episode. That being said?. The staff... was fantastic and very understanding. We ordered Hubby took mom home while I waited for the meals. Dinners came! Mom?s steakcooked to perfection! The ribs my hubby said were awesome and my shrimp was a little over done. They gave me to go boxes and weate at home. I tasted the food while it was hot. We will be back but not with mom. Thank you for being so understanding. We willbe back!!!!!!!! 5 stars from us. Two friends and I got crabs here at The Stables. They were AMAZING! Piping hot, great size, most were pretty full. A couple... weren't super full. But every claw or leg you cracked open there was a huge piece of meat that slipped right out from the shell.You didn't have to go digging for little pieces. The service was great! They kept coming by making sure we were happy. And Iappreciated the guy from the kitchen came out to see how we were doing and then explained in detail why the river crabs are somuch better than the bay crabs. All I know is, they were the best crabs I had in years! Now we were there on a Tuesday at fiveso they weren't very busy. But still, it was a very positive first time experience. I will be bringing hubby next time so he toocan have this delightful experience. Read more
Had the crabs. Absolutely BOMB! The corn on cob was delicious. Only complaint is they brought cold refrigerated butter to the... table for our hot food. Stopped by helping some family do yard work and saw signs for crabs. Pulled in to find they had live music and an awesome... Captains special including crabs, shrimp, delicious sweet white corn and snow crab clusters. From the moment we walked in theyoung staff was professional and accommodating. We went with the Captains special? it was outrageously awesome. The shrimp weresteamed and deveined to perfection, corn fresh and crabs full. The seasoning was perfect, meat was sweet, and our server Abbeyattentive and kind. Let?s just say it was so good, I actually look forward to going back to help the family with yard work asap;) Also, either manager or owner stopped by to check on us which always shows the genuineness of a solid business. I was looking for a new place to purchase crabs and stumbled upon The Stable on Google. Customer service is important to me. I... received excellent customer service from the young lady who took my order for a dozen of large males and the gentleman whoserviced me when I picked them up. The crabs were pretty big (I received a few XLs) and fair to good as far as taste. I steam mycrabs with beer so the taste was a little off but that?s not a big deal. I will be back. Read more
