We like this place. Good bbq without having to drive 500 miles.
We've been fans of Edie Joe's for several years now, both dining in before the pandemic, getting take out on the weekends, and... even catering for events. The food has always been great and we would recommend! The one area where it's been a bitdisappointing in our experience is missing items from our order when we do take out - we've ordered extra bbq sauce (which is anadditional charge) and they aren't included, sides have been missing, and even the muffins. This happens almost every time, evenwhen I've added notes to online orders. The staff has always been apologetic about missing items and ask us to come back topickup, but it's a 20 minute drive one way for us. We hope orders will be double checked so this doesn't continue to happen tous or others in the future. Read more
Food was absolutely amazing! Everything was absolutely delicious! The chicken was a bit under done, but they immediately sent it... back and brought us chicken that was thoroughly cooked. They were very busy, and as a homecook I can completely understand. Toend the night, I was careless and left my phone on the table...a kind gentleman (possibly owner) brought it out to us! Our waitstaff was wonderful - attentive and friendly. Made us feel welcome and was great with the children in our party. I had... the ribs - tasty and moist - my only complaint would be I had to eat them with a fork because they fell off the bone easily.Sweet potato fries and nachos for the table were quickly gobbled up. Nice selection of beer, including local brews ( the peanutbutter stout was great). We were celebrating a family member and the staff made us feel good about being there. While it’s alittle out of town, if your on campus it’s about the same drive as crossing town to the mall or the 65 exit in Lafayette. Iwill come back next time I’m in town. Read more
