We were excited to try this new place for our monthly moms night out, and despite 7 ladies with all different preferences and... dietary needs, each of us left raving about the food, atmosphere and service. The menu offers an innovative spin on the expectedMexican food experience, but stays close enough to the normal expectations that we were each willing to try something a bitunexpected. No one was disappointed. If there was one minor blip in the experience, it was the way the street corn was served(cut off of the cob into straps, but with enough cob still on it that it required a knife and fork to eat or you risked pickingup the flimsy strips of corn to try and eat it without the toppings sliding off). But we persevered and even that was deliciousif a bit complicated to eat. Overall a really great experience and we already plan to return in the future. Read more

We experienced Mexicue for the first time at their new Westport location! The fusion of Mexican and BBQ is super unique and... something that I think works really well together. We absolutely loved the nachos we had for an appetizer - plenty of toppingsspread throughout, and the burnt ends added on was a game changer. The guac was tasty too, and I really liked the bacon. Weenjoyed our tacos, but I was a little disappointed in the lack of ground beef filling on the El Americano (folded taco in thepictures, I probably should've taken a pic of it opened), especially considering the taco goes for over $7. The birria platterwas a great size, and we liked the pulled pork tacos. However, we did find the consome broth to be a bit too salty, and Iwould've been happier with less pickled red onions on the rice and beans. Loved the street corn ribs though, it made it veryeasy to eat! Overall, I was impressed with the service and how quickly the food came out for such a newly opened restaurant, they were definitely on the ball. We had a nice date night here, and I think we'll both be thinking about those nachos for awhile! Read more

Just in town visiting from college and went to Mexicue last night with a few friends from high school. We had the BEST... experience and could not have been more pleased. The environment was incredible, loved how authentic the dishes were, and ourservice was second to none. Regardless, the margs we had were to die for. Will definitely be going back every time I am back intown!! Loved it! Read more

I don?t really have that many positive things to say about this place except our waitress and the host were TRYING. Our... waitress was in training and the man training her was inaudible and maybe needed more training himself? We ordered 2 tecates, ahouse margarita, a spicy margarita, and a spicy margarita with Tito?s (I know, but this wasn?t the problem). The spicy margaritawas gross? cinnamon sugar rim? And the house Margarita didn?t come but a tecate did in it?s place. Not a huge deal but we werecharged for both. Food comes? it?s actively bad. The rice in the burrito was uncooked and the flavors were all over the placefunky. Oh and tacos are $7-$9 FOR ONE! I wasn?t going to get another drink but I tell the waitress ok I?ll have a spicymargarita bc I think I got the incorrect one beforehand (someone else drank it for me) and I want it SPICY. She said ok andbrings back the SAME margarita as the first time so I had to say something this time. Come to find out, it?s not a spicyMargarita it?s a SPICED margarita made with cinnamon tequila????? I feel like that should be more clear especially for a newrestaurant. A spicy margarita is very specific especially when requested as such. We paid for all three margaritas which waswild but not my restaurant I suppose. Oh well? we definitely won?t be back which is a shame for a new place. Read more
