Sadly, this place has slowly declined since Taj took over. In years of dining there, I have never had a single complaint. I... ordered tiki masala today and the chicken was rubbery. To expect the food to be perfect every time is unreasonable so I nicelytold the waiter about the rubbery chicken. His response was that it's the same tiki masala, as always. I asked him to try andcut through a piece of the chicken and he would see it wasn't edible. We didn't eat any of the chicken. He said that he wouldprepare another dish, however, would charge for a second one, so we would pay for both. I expressed my disappointment in howthey were handling this. They said that they do excellent business, and didn't need me as a customer. I was floored. I gatheredmy stuff to leave. He then asked me to pay for the chicken that I did not eat. I would avoid this restaurant. The chicken in the tikka masala was tough and almost without flavor, same for the basmati rice.... And the papadam was not crisp or flavorful. Overall a very disappointing meal. The folks who wrote reviews on here must surelyhave been eating at another restaurant. This was my first and last meal here. Read more

We took food home tonight from Taj Westport it was our first time and it absolutely delicious. We tried different dishes the... tandoori shrimp and a lamb dish. We started with a chicken appetizer and also tried the fruit and nut naan. Every thing wasfantastic and the people who work there are just lovely. I think if you try it you will not be disappointed.
