Service was excellent, Kyra was the best. Brisket was perfect. Abundance of fries but I wish they didn't come salted and I wish... they offered sweet potato fries otherwise they would have gotten 5 stars. Read more

We heard rave reviews on google… but boy, were we disappointed! The food was marginal. Fatty brisket was served to my husband.... The ribs were just okay. The rub and barbecue sauce did not mesh well together. It was like it was just thrown together. Theserver was aggressively unfriendly. Never once did he come to ask how everything was or if we needed anything else. Anotherworker (possibly the manager or owner) came over to our table. I thought he came over to say hello and ask how everything was…but instead he just cleared a few dirty dishes away. I tried to make conversation, but he wasn’t much more friendly than ourserver. The vibe of the place was so poor, we were made to feel as if we were crashing a party we weren’t invited to. I willsay the hostess (who wore glasses) that greeted us at the door was very nice, but it all went downhill from there. We thought wewere in for a treat, but we would’ve been better off almost anywhere else. Never again. Read more

Hands down one of the best spots in southern CT. Its a hidden gem literally in an alleyway and basement of a very stone... building. Typically I like to sit outside but recently have been enjoying sitting at the bar. You can tell the employees loveworking there and it shows as they have fun while they make amazing drinks. Food is great too! Chicken and waffles are my gotoo! Read more

Great place. Service was great as well. Cocktails are good not my personal fave. Food was amazing the ribs, southern fried... chicken, even the Salmon. My only wish they gave a bigger piece of cornbread. Mac and cheese loved it. Desert was ok. Thebourbon ice cream tasted like vanilla ice cream. The chocolate pecan pie didn't taste like the pecans were cooked. Don't let thedessert stear you away. Still a great place for dinner. Read more

First restaurant we've been to in 16 months...so worth the wait! Brisket hash was awesome. Steak frites very good. Shrimp n... grits good. Cornbread crustification with a sprinkle of sea salt was superb! Hopefully next time we visit the rain wont spoilwkend live music plans which they offer. Very highly recommended. Read more

I was a loyal customer of Walrus Carpenter in Black Rock, and was sad to see it go. Finally made my way to their Westport... location, on a sunny Saturday afternoon. They have a great outdoor patio that on this day had live music. We decided for on anindoor table, because music was a tad loud for us. Got seated right away, and each table is separated by a plastic partition, mounted to the floor. The menu has a lot of the same things I loved about Walrus in Black Rock! The Maple Pork Belly is one ofmy favorite things to eat, ever. Corn bread with honey butter should be illegal, it's so good. I love their smoked wings, andI went with the chipotle honey finish. My daughter enjoyed chicken fingers with crispy fries. And my friend had a deliciouslooking and super filling Thanksgiving sandwich. Can't wait to be back again! Read more

Excellent service and very cute decor and spacious seating area. Good portion food and satisfactory draft and bottled beer... selection. However baby back ribs tasted baked and lacking in meat and flavour. Apple crisp dessert has no crisp only sugarycrumble and over sweeten ice cream. Worst of all cornbread is unavailable during lunch...who does that? Read more
