Upon a friend?s advice my husband and I went to Lucky Lou?s for lunch. We were seated on the outdoor patio on an amazing summer... day with a good breeze. The seating and umbrellas are done in a very clean and elegant black. The wait staff is highlyattentive, pleasant and efficient. Surrounded by towering trees the atmosphere was relaxing and friendly. I had the primelucky?s burger ???? which was packed with flavor, well prepared. Shoestring fries completed my filling lunch. My husbandenjoyed the crispy cod burger which he claimed was the best he?d ever had. Then we tried the cheesecake made with yogurt?verylight and creamy, not dense like NY style. We were very impressed with all and felt the prices were duly reflective of the primeingredients used. Next time we go we?re bringing my dog to join us outside. A wonderfully dog friendly eatery with a menu justfor the canines you love and adore. We highly recommend this restaurant and would give it 10 ?? if possible. Read more
Lucky Lou's has a fantastic atmosphere inside and outside. Went for lunch at 12:30 on a Tuesday and it was fairly crowded.... .Service was quick and really friendly. Fish Tacos had great flavor. You only get 2, but the amount of fish in each was goodenough. Tartar sauce and chipotle yogurt in the tacos is a perfect pairing to cod fish. Chicken Gyro was big size and tastedgood. Not the same as a Lamb Gyro, but nonetheless was very good. Like everything else these days it was a bit pricey forlunch but the quality of food, service and atmosphere was all worth it. Read more
An amazing lunch with the puppy! The manger(?) sat us on the patio and with in 2 minutes our server brought us a bowl of ice... water just for Luca. The cocktails were great and interesting. We sat on the patio with our 3 dogs, and were warmly welcomed! All of the servers were sweet with our pups, and the dogs... appreciated the doggy menu they provided. For us, the Chilean sea bass and fish and chips, both incredible. The focacia was notwhat I expected, but was delicious. The drinks were a little strong for us, but no complaints! Wanted to have lunch somewhere new. Who doesn't love downtown historical Wethersfield????? Pleasantly surprised. They open... right at noon and when I arrived there was a line waiting for the opening. They got everyone seated quickly. Loved the patiowhich is quite large. Nice space between tables so you don't hear the conversation of the next table. I had the quacamoleburger/medium. It was perfect. Fries were just right. They did have a nice bar menu but had ice tea. I had to still dealwith clients after lunch on a Friday. I'll be back! Read more
Very cool place for lunch. We were visiting UConn from Maryland and had our dog with us so this was an easy choice, even had a... menu for dogs and a bowl of water. The food, Cod Burger, Pork Burrito, Chicken Tacos, and soup of the day were excellent. Wouldhave loved to try the chili nachos. Service was excellent, super friendly, and fast. Maybe a little pricey, seemed like alloptions were about $20. Dog menu started at $5 and went up to $12 or so, chicken to steak. Nice selection of cocktails that werevery good. We sat on the patio and walked the neighborhood after to see some of the historical sites. Worth a stop particularlywith a dog. Short drive feom UConn, about 30 minutes and just outside of Hartford. We happened upon this town and Lou's Bar & Grill on our way home from Salem, MA and am so glad we did. The ambiance was awesome,... the food was fantastic and our server was great. A bigger plus was how accommodating they were to our pups, offering them waterbowls and even a doggie menu! What I presume was the owner came over multiple times to say hi, and they were more than welcomedthere! Would absolutely love to come back and recommend everyone to come here who is in the area!
