Stopped here because a lot of breakfast spots are closed on Monday?not sure why but whatever. I decided to stop here given the... decent reviews and location but what a mistake. Ordered A 6.95 small appetite plate . Which comes with 2 pancakes 2 slices ofbacon and a juice. Ordered hashbrowns ( old and stale tasting by the way) bill jumped to 17. 95 was told due to add one. The Works Meat Lovers Omelette is packed. Very cool Greek diner. Clean all around. The server was very friendly and... attentive. The kitchen was a bit slow but they had just opened. Excellent coffee and the rye toast was fresh. Easy accessfrom I-91 and ample parking. Read more
Hadn't been here in many years (used to go to Great American Skate back in the day) after skating we'd either go to The Olympia... Diner or Makris. When we walked in that distinctive odor that only Makris has brought back memories. We were told to seatourselves anywhere. Once seated (3 of us) the server brought us menus (2) I guess kids don't get to look at the menus. Weordered a tuna melt with fries, a cheeseburger with fries, and fish & chips. Also 1 soda. The food was basic diner food, nothingoutstanding. Fish and chips was just that, fish and chips with a little piece of lemon and tartar sauce and NO coleslaw. 3perfectly formed pieces of frozen/fried mystery fish that tasted ok but.... every meal just seemed to be lacking "something" all in all it was a decent lunch but, definitely not worth the $45 we paid. I'm thinking that the prices are reflecting the lackof people in there at noon on a workday on the Berlin Turnpike ???? Read more
