They were short staffed which may account for the lack of spontaneous welcoming greeting. We tried to engage our server in light... conversation and we did finally get a smile. I felt empathy for this lady she seemed to be cooking, serving on the inside andanswering the take-out window. I would be weary too. I have to say despite the problems the meal was good! Chicken tasty andmoist! Poor lady forgot my husband's red beans and rice. However I think she was doing her best. Come on Popeyes Wetumpka getsome staff so that service with a smile can return. Food ok. Cashier at drive thru in huge rush when no customer behind me. Got drinks wrong ordered no ice both had ice. Gave us no... utensils I had to ask. Had to ask for straws. Then handed our food Forgot dessert (Skip the banana cake DRY CAKE little whippedcream takes like banana. People working in there were just standing around while we waited 20 minutes in the drive thru for some nuggets that were... sitting in the trays for lord knows how long before my husband went in there to get our food. They were rude and didn't evengive us a receipt. The large mac n cheese is not a large. 7 dollars for Mac n cheese to feed maybe 2 people. I love Popeyes butnot worth 30 dollars and 20 mins waiting while we had groceries in the truck. Read more
Decent food but really rude service. The young man taking our order was polite. But the woman working the drive through and... helping at the front was really rude. We got our order but my son?s plain chicken sandwich was not in our sack. I stood at thefront for several minutes before this woman helped me. Oh, and they weren?t busy AT ALL. Like we were the only people in there.When I say she ?helped? me? I mean she looked at me and didn?t say anything but just waited. I told her we were missing hischicken sandwich and she VERY rudely told me they were making it. I mean I have had some questionable service before but thisplace takes the cake. Food was delicious! Our last Popeyes experience in Atlanta was not good so we were wary of this visit BUT customer service was... great, food was awesome and the store was very clean . Inefficient. Incorrect order after going inside, waiting patiently. Paid promptly and extra for my cup of ice. After waiting "3... minutes" for popcorn shrimp, which was 20 to 30 mins. Had employee take food out of bag to verify for correctness. It was STILLwrong when I got home. Should have been mild chicken tenders [12 pieces]..WAS fried bone in random chicken. Local number ringswith no answer despite several minutes. Love popeyes and was excited to have one locally. Rarely go because it does not pleasetaste preferences of LARGE family. Decided to go tonight for a family dinner of 7 people. Spent hard earned money. Will NOT goback unless major changes are made. The main employee taking orders inside was rude, tapping nails constantly on counter,rushing order, stated the "family meal" multiple times with TENDERS. Her wording for orders did NOT match the menu that thecustomer looks at on the actual screen right above the employee. Will need stronger management for this location to even survivein Wetumpka. Last week stopped and ordered chicken and when I got home my order was wrong. I ordered a 3 piece white dinner with mashed... potatoes, got home and had a wing, a thigh and red beans which were cold. Called the store and the person answering the phonewas BEYOND rude and hateful!!! I told her they had gotten my order wrong and what I ordered versus what I received. She told meto bring it back. I told her I live in Eclectic and I would come back tomorrow. She said if I wasn't coming back they couldn'thelp me and hung up. EXTREMELY RUDE AND HATEFUL!!! Today I decided to give them another chance so stopped and ordered ablackened chicken sandwich combo. I pulled around and sat behind 2 cars waiting to get to the window for 15 minutes (neither wasasked to move out of line, they just sat there). I finally made it to the window and after charging my card was told to pullover to the side. I asked how long I would have to wait a d was told "10 minutes or so". I told them to refund my money whichthey finally did after trying to make me get something else to keep from refunding my money. Sorry but twice in 2 weeks, Iwon't be back! Read more
