I was passing through Wharton and decided to stop by and order through the drive thru. This was on Thursday afternoon. The... employee a young man who took our order was very kind. I ordered a couple of things that they didn't have that day, but he waspolite and apologetic about it. He did his best on finding other items on the menu to replace them. Which was great. The waitwasn't long given our large order and the food was so damn delicious, I mean the chicken was crunchy, juicy and the sides wereamazing. Best homecooking I've had in a minute with the cheesiest macaroni, sweet carrots, spicy cabbage(for me at least) and crunchy... chicken!!! Definitely making this spot one of my frequent stops. Chicken cooked to perfection. Light fluffy rolls, creamy mashed potatoes & coleslaw were amazing. Chicken is the #8 best I've... ever eaten. I'm from the south & we really know fried chicken. Omg!! The place was Filthy dont know if they are under a new ownership but they take no pride in their chicken. Also they barely... put any Chicken under the warming lights on the buffet counter and you have to keep asking for chicken .Disgusting not clean Read more
The food was terrible it look like it had set out there all day I have eaten at this restaurant several times and always enjoyed... the chicken tonight it was a total failure whoever is the manager on staff should be fired 3 / 28 / 18 at 8:00pm I asked forunsweet tea they said they were out of tea they were out of chicken livers chicken gizzards chicken tenders and fried fish andthe vegetable bar was in very sad shape. Food has really good home cooked flavor, yet the dirtiness of the dinning area, restroom, (I can only imagine what the kitchen... looks like) and excessive flys just really turns you away. There's a huge lack of cleanliness that this will be my first andlast time here. Read more
