Waited 2 hours (standing up ) to be seated after being told I would wait half an hour. The food was okay but not that great. Was... not explained that the menu was online as other tables were getting the actual menus on hand. BAD customer service, they need tobe replaced and trained. Heard glass breaking a few times. Was charged $19 as a tip without being told. Spent about $200. Was itworth it?…. N.O. … Would love to see a change as this is one of my favorite restaurants. This place used to be my go to. I’ve been here in the past 2 years and it has completely gone downhill. From service all the... way to the food. We were sat and had to wait over 15 min to get our drink order in and waited another 30 min to get our foodorder in. The waiter ignored us multiple times and eventually we had to flag her down. The food was ok, the food me and my wifereceived was less the average in taste and quality. The shrimp were cold and the bacon was too. The Tortillas were served cold.My wife ordered a molcajete Michoacán and it looked like they served her the remains from someone’s else’s molcajete. Wegot dessert and the cake was still frozen! Update: I ended up returning here with my wife this week. Our meal started off ok, but then we had a discrepancy with the bill.... My wife ordered a side of hot sauce for her shredded beef enchiladas. They ended up charging $5 for that sauce and added a $3charge for the beef even though it was clearly stated as an option on the menu. I had to argue with the person at the registerabout it and he wouldn't listen. I had to show him the menu for him to take the $3 charge off, but he wouldn't budge on thesauce. He just said "should've asked." That's terrible service and they should be up front about their charges if it's goingto cost that much for a side. I only left 3 stars since my first experience was good, but this experience was terrible andfrustrating. ___________________ Amazing. I had a wonderful time and the fajitas were phenomenal. They do charge a dollar for a mask if you don't have one. The front staff seemed really confused on where to pay your bill and... some general questions. The online menu was challenging to read and use. The print is super small then if you enlarge it to readit you can only see a small part of the menu. Also the menu button was really close to the order button, so it was easy to pushthe wrong button. I did like the order button though because you could just push it when you needed something. They brought outa paper menu and it was gigantic and super long it was more like a book you see in a movie on a big book stand. The atmospherewas nice and everyone was friendly and the food was good. My family and I have been going to El Paraiso for as far back as I can remember. The quality of the food and the atmosphere has... gone through some ups and downs. I have fond memories of amazing food when I was younger, but there was a time in the early2010's that things declined. However, I have gone back several times recently and I'm happy to say that the food is amazing yetagain. Service is great, very attentive and helpful. The restaurant has been either steady, or pretty busy when I've been therethis past year. A busy restaurant is always a good sign. El Paraiso has been a staple in my family and I'm looking forward tocontinue the tradition. Read more
