This little restaurant packs a flavorful punch. We have been here about four times. The service is friendly and the ambience... quaint. The menu features Italian pasta staples, and is not overwhelming The food is served quickly and is very tasty. Best lasagne in Denver and it's a generous portion. Soup or salad that comes with an entree is outstanding?fresh and full of a... variety of veggies. Wine glasses were generously filled. Service was attentive and friendly. Read more

You do not want to miss trying the food at this place. I had Mamma's Lasagna. The portion was huge (see photo) and the flavor... was outstanding. We also ordered Riggatoni and a side of sausage and meatball. One other person had the Chicken Marsala. The redsauce or (gravy) as my Italian husband calls it has just the right spices that add so much flavor. We also tried the garlicbread and it's addicting all by itself. There was plenty of food enough to take home and have again the next day. The aroma isso tantalizing. They also have a nice variety of desserts. Something for everyone. Yum 6 stars! Read more

The spot is very colorful and tipical Italian interior design. Friendly stuff welcome you, older people serve you. I felt a bit... uncomfortable because of that. My server was very kind and friendly gentlemen with white hair. I ordered a salad and spaghetti????. The salad was okay medium fresh, not cut the same day, but not bad. The salad consist by 1 cucumber ???? slide, one smallcarrot ???? one olive from the cheapest you can find and one beats pease, some greans on the bottom, roman salad (not so fresh)and agricola which I personally hate. Dressing Italian. I took the side of salad- just enough for a side salad. I ordered halfportion of spaghetti ???? red souse. The pasta was cooked well, not overdone. Despite the water on the bottom of the plates, Ieat it all. Very well done, flavor souse and spaghetti slightly over ",Al dente!" They served the salad with Bread and Butter. The bread was not Italian. The butter was very good. I usually do give good rating if I am willing to go again. Yes I recommendthat place. Yes it is better than Olive Garden. Yes I will go eat there again ?????? Grazie,!!!! Fast friendly. Read more

Family owned restaurant that has been in this location for 8 years, but has been serving Denver Italian food for decades. Mama... Sanninos is a classic family owned & family friendly Italian restaurant that serves all the classics. I got my food to go buthad a look at the interior and it was a nice little spot that had that family owned feel. I got the lasagna which wasabsolutely amazing, the marinara sauce was perfectly seasoned and just the right amount of cheese and portion in this $20 dish. The pastas had an option to come with salad or soup, so I tried the hearty Italian soup that was also equally as good. I lookforward to trying more dishes from this place in the future and giving another review. I'll definitely be back. Read more

I'm sick and tired with both big chain restaurants and restaurants that use big fancy words to describe their food, which in... most cases translates to small overpriced dishes that are not too special. My goal was to find a locally owned family stylerestaurant...this led us to Mama Sanninos! The place was packed, good sign in my book, and after a small wait we were seated. Iwas thrilled to find out we were being waited on by none other than Mama Sannino herself! We ordered the Crispy Ravioli for anappetizer and it was delicious! The raviolis were nicely stuffed with cheese...no flat pre-made raviolis here. The marinarasauce was great, it was perfectly seasoned. My wife ordered the house salad with blue cheese dressing and the Half Ravioli andHalf Pasta (homemade egg noodles) with 1 meatball and 1 sausage. Again, the raviolis were perfect and the homemade egg noodleswere cooked perfectly and tasted great. Both the meatball and sausage were fantastic. She was also impressed with the bluecheese dressing and that it had real blue cheese chunks. I ordered the minestrone soup and the Dave Mc's Favorite BakedRigatoni, it also came with a meatball and sausage. What I also found great was the massive amount of ricotta cheese they putinto the dish...it was AWESOME! The minestrone was also great, it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I also want to point outthat the meatballs were made from meat...not the cheap meatballs that are 90% bread and 10% meat...these are the real deal! Mydaughter ordered buttered homemade egg noodles and she was also impressed. Oh yeah...you better be hungry, because the ordersare huge! I live quite a few miles from Mama Sannino's, but I guarantee you we will be back. The service was great, the foodwas great...the whole experience was great. I grew up in NYC and ate at numerous restaurants in Little Italy so I know goodItalian from bad Italian food, and I can honestly say that if you're in the mood for Real Italian Food...look n Read more
