I was really excited to try Altiro Latin Fusion with my wife. The reviews are very good. The atmosphere is cool. We were... excited about the menu and ordered brunch. Our food was decent but the service was not good. Unfortunately, my wife's foodarrived warm not hot. She said it tasted good. My food was OK but not flavorful. I was served a Coke in a can with a glasswhich is OK but not as good as a fountain drink. When I asked for a refill it took the server between 10-15 minutes to bringthe second Coke in a can. By this time I was finished eating and ready to go. I told the server I didn't need it any longerand she seemed shocked. She left and didn't come back for another 10 minutes and without our check. It should have beenobvious we were done eating. In any case I had to ask for our check and it took her another several minutes to get our billsprocessed. We've been given a few recommendations to dine here and were excited, but it just didn't live up to what we were told. The space... is beautiful, comfortable. The drinks are delicious. However, we had an awkward experience with entrees.We just ordered tacosand mine arrived, but then my boyfriend had to wait 20 minutes for his order. After it showed up, about 2 minutes later, anotherserver brought out another plate of tacos. Not sure what happened, maybe our order got lost or we had someone elses? Overall,the food is good and maybe we will come back to give it a second chance, but it will probably be a while. Read more
I have been to this restaurant 5 times..The the food is pretty good but my main complaint is their service. Their service by... far is the worst I’ve ever had. All 5xs, the waitress disappeared and didn’t come by to check and see if I neededanything.. 4 of the 5 I had to get up and find the waitress or someone at the bar to ask for more water or more chips or place additional order. Unfortunately as much as I love their food I won’t be going back. Owners are great people though..so hopefully they train their staff better. . Read more
FOOD AND SERVICE ARE WONDERFUL! I brought my mom and grandmother to downtown Wheaton for dinner and the manager was at the door... greeting people so we decided, let’s give this place a try! I am so glad we did, the food was incredible, the drinks weredelicious and the staff and service is what really did it for us. The manager, the owner and the whole crew were attentive toevery single table. They were happy and just in their groove tending tables. It was a very pleasant atmosphere. I can’t waitto go back! This is a cute, swanky, modern-latin themed restaurant with great options. I absolutely love the 2 spicy drinks they have on the... menu, Al Verde and Al Chulo. There is a server there who is ALWAYS working and he is always smiling, always so kind, and superknowledgeable of the food, the drinks, and the spirits. Altiro is my favorite spot in downtown Wheaton to grab a bite withfriends and and family. Read more
This place rocks. Food, atmosphere and service are top notch. Glad we have it in our hometown. They have events going on, like... salsa dance classes and other fun activities. This is a place the wife and I will be visiting regularly. Highly recommended. Read more
