Such a lovely dining experience! The staff is attentive, food is exquisite and the ambiance is beyond relaxing, the perfect... place to wind down after a busy work day/week. Teaser trailer: The innovative menus in the dining room very cleverly remove anydifficulty of seeing the menu in the soft candle light while adding to the peaceful ambiance! I will be returning soon andoften! P.S. Did I mention the beautiful fireplace?! Read more

Everything was fantastic! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. We had the shrimp and watermelon starter, my partner got... the surfboard tomahawk steak, which was huge, I got the special seabass, which was to die for! We also got the key lime brulee, which was very tasty as well. I was surprised how casual most people were dressed, and kids were dining. Read more

IVY Restaurant located in the town of Wheaton, IL was a lunch spot I had the opportunity to experience & share. I dined... outdoors in the private garden terrace which was both serene & charming. A black iron fence & gate set the stage for a heavywall of green ivy. This quiet lunch spot set offside bustling main street was both relax full & food quite “good”. Iordered the “Chicken Salad” not only tasteful but presentation admirable. I accompanied with a Malbec which only added tothe ambiance of this afternoon. The menu offered a nice selection of different meats & other foods either for lunch and/ordinner. The dessert I chose was a chocolate mouse, appropriately sized proportion was satisfyingly delicious. The staff wasprofessional, friendly & attentive to our needs & our food arrived in a timely manner. I, however, did not go indoors so Ican’t review but I did view the small room off the patio. A small room styled old world with limited seating. I thought thefood was “very good”, price-point “rather high” & outdoor atmosphere “fantastic.” I will offer my opinion as beingappropriate for an adult date night, special occasion & after work venue. This may be one of my favorite spots to visit again &should you choose I feel you will be pleased with your dining experience. Read more

We were excited to try the Ivy restaurant in downtown Wheaton last night. The beauty of the old church-turned-eatery is almost... breathtaking with stunning architectural detail. We sat down and immediately enjoyed menus that light up from behind the page! Our meal started out really well with a Solemn Oath craft beer and a Sonoma cab, hot French bread right out of the oven servedwith honey infused butter. It was very delicious. Then a wedge salad and a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup. Both were veryimpressive. My wife ordered the Cajun Chicken Penne pasta entree and I tried the Truffle Burger. The pasta was almost too hot toeat with way too much cayenne pepper. This is a big mistake with inexperienced chefs. I ordered my burger medium rare, whichmeans bloody. It arrived “medium” (see pictures), which was disappointing. The burger was also dwarfed by the large bun, which was flavorful but too much bread for the small size of the burger. Over cooking meat is also a sign of an inexperiencedchef. We rarely send food back and we enjoyed our meal and conversation without sending anything back. We even split theflourless chocolate cake, which was sublime. Our server Katrina was thoughtful and friendly and it’s never the server’sfault when the chef makes mistakes, so we tipped generously and left. The vibe at the Ivy is well worth trying and you may get abetter chef than we had. We’ll probably try it again someday but not before trying other eateries first. Read more

Staff is excellent! Fresh bread is great! But unfortunately the food quality here has dropped significantly. The meat was chewy... and did not taste like a select cut. I requested for it to be Medium and it was Medium-well, probably closer to well done formost of the steak. Not a deal breaker, but the steak just did not taste good. It didn't taste fresh. I would pass on the steak. The prices unfortunately do not match the quality of cuisine. Read more

Excellent food and service! The atmosphere was perfect for our dinner party. It has a rich feeling that is both romantic but... also historic, the building is an old church and it has real Ivy on the outside. The food was delicious. Multiple people at ourtable had the filet, it was very tasty. I had the Prime Rib, it was cooked perfectly and had a very tasty side of mashedpotatoes and grilled asparagus. Their service was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and on top of it. They did agreat job paying attention to the food allergy at our table and even helped with suggesting alternatives for the apps. Thebus’s boys cleared the table without being noticed and kept our area clean. This place is 5/5! Read more

The food was delicious!! The space has some history which is fun but overall not our favorite atmosphere. Lighting was dim and... space was a little cold. It was an older crowd. This is the most people that we have seen not wearing masks - January 2022 Read more

Great locally owned upscale restaurant. Top notch food, wine and service. I bring friends and family to the Ivy often. I have... hosted business lunches in their upstairs private room. They are one of the few restaurants in the area who have their own Ivycovered private outdoor patio. Read more
