Second visit. Received a generous birthday credit for setting up an account. Tried to place a phone order, was put on hold. Lost... the connection after 7 minutes. Schmaltz Express Deli has really great tasting and generously portioned sandwiches and other food, a welcoming and relaxing... restaurant and staff, and their app is easy to place/customize your orders to pick up. Conveniently located in a nice part ofdowntown Wheaton, near stores and the Metra train station. They're also covid-19 aware and safe. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Service is fast and the food is fantastic! Pictured are our favorites the Acme and... the Adams. So thankful Schmaltz decided to come to downtown Wheaton even in these crazy times. The location is perfect and makespick up super easy! Read more
Their bagels are so good! I advocate for the egg bagel. The asiago chive didn?t vibe with me but if you?re down for an added... kick, give it a try! But for the safer pals out there, the plain is my go to. The place is also super cute, with clear signage(both for menu items and COVID arrangements i.e. floor markers). Read more
Park Slope sandwich and ginger ale with a pickle (of course). You can't lose with Schmaltz! Great sandwiches, friendly people,... and very safe practices during the pandemic. You can see the spacing in the outside benches. Delicious egg salad sandwich but Iknow many people come for the bagels and the corned beef & pastrami. Read more
OMG best bagels around. The sandwich...The Adams, huge and the best corned beef I have had outside of NYC ! New location looks... awesome, can't wait to be able to go inside and enjoy the perfection. Had the Sloppy Paul with the pastrami. OMG. The ladke's were good and I purchased a qt. of the matzo ball soup for my daughter.... I've received 2 texts from her thanking me. It was our 1st time there, but not the last time. My kid also loved their bagels. Read more
