Ordered a gluten free chocolate cake w/chocolate frosting Nov 5 2022. We had a family event celebrating a 98th birthday and a... baby shower. 3 family members could not have "regular" cake so I ordered a small gluten-free from Sweet Natalies. I admit Iwas the tiniest bit nervous how it would turn out 1. never had ordered one before. 2. while I read mostly positive reviews, somewere not so good. Well... I am so GLAD I ORDERED FROM THIS BAKERY!!!! My family members LOVED THE CAKE! said it was WAYBETTER than the gluten-free bakery they use and they will now start ordering & shopping at Sweet Natalie's!! The cake wasdelicious, I also grabbed 2 add'l cupcakes - fantastic! The owner waited on my (fairly certain-cuz I heard her talking toanother couple) and she was the sweetest, friendliest, woman - I loved her - not sure why some folks made negative comments. Being Celiac, it?s hard to find foods and treats where our guests aren?t able to tell if we are serving gluten free. Babydoll... Bakery came to our rescue with a quick turnaround request of custom made cookies for my daughters party. Not only were theyadorable, they were the BEST cookies I have ever had! My wife called and inquired about if they had anything that did not have vanilla in it; as she is both gluten free and allergic... to vanilla. Shame on her for calling, as the staff thought this was a joke. After they asked questions about what she couldpossibly eat- that does not have vanilla; again making her feel bad about her allergy. They asked what she substitutes at home-it's almond extract-the woman again scoffs and says, "well a lot more people have nut allergies ya know." Very rude andunhelpful encounter. I got a 2 pack of chocolate donutsand a cookie dough donut they were roc k harf inedible and the taste was just straight up... gross, not even just not good . The cake was not pleasant either, but more palatable than the donuts. The millionaire bar wasdecent but dry.
