The service was awful tonight. I always come to this place, not sure what happened tonight. Today the drinks took too long, the... order was incompleted. I asked for appetizer and never got it (Server apologize for). Typical breakfast fare at IHOP Breakfast pancakes, hot and fresh, price is right. All servers seemed nice, however, my service... was so SLOW!! I'm just one person. I wish I can give zero star. This IHOP location has a terrible terrible manager and her name is Rodriguez. She is very rude and... unprofessional. She let group of people just walked in to sit whatever they wanted and had the ppl waiting and not even care.After we complained she said go ahead and write your bad reviews. DO NOT EAT OVER THERE! The server didn?t want to accept to give us the free kids at first. Then my husband ordered a grilled... chicken bacon burger and he got a steak burger. We had to request a replacement for the incorrect order. They brought hischicken burger and forgot the bacon this time. They were careless and ready for us to leave. So I ordered the Bacon Crusted Chicken Breast with Potato Hash. In the description, it's described as a grill chicken with... pepper jack over a bed of red potatoes. I get my food, and it's a piece of fried chicken with tomatoes on top. I proceed to tellmy server that it's the wrong meal and she tells me that I'm wrong. Literally the worst service I have ever had. She never cameto check on us after that and I had to get up to get my friend and I refills as well as pick up food for my table at the foodexpo. A nightmare. 07/16/22. We never go to IHOP in WHEATON because friends have shared their bad experiences with the staff in this... restaurant. But we were passing with our kids and we saw an offer that says that kids eat free everyday from 4 to 10 pm. Weasked the waiter (Bryan A) how it worked and he explained to us from what part of ??the menu we have to order so that the kidscan eat for free. Also in the kids menu it says that they can choose any of the options in there, he said no, that it was onlyone dish and that the kids cannot choose, so we ordered that dish for the kids. When we asked for the check, he said that theoffer was until 8 pm (it was 9 pm at that time). We told him to go see the sign that said it was until 10. He did so, andapologized to us. Later he came back saying that the menu we ordered does not cover the free food for the kids. We told him thathe told us what we have to order and he just said he was sorry that maybe he didn't explain it well but we still had to pay forthe whole food. So we asked him to call the manager and a boy much younger than the waiter came (they both look like teenagers)with no experience in how to treat customers, and after he argued for some time with the waiter in front of us and my children,He said it was the waiter's fault but we still had to pay. To no longer continue in that unpleasant place and not have to seethose 2 guys anymore, I paid everything and we left. To make matters worse, when I was paying, the waiter told me not to worryabout tipping him. Seriously ????. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted after walking in although there was someone standing at the register. It would have been fine if... someone had just said ?hi, we will be right with you? don?t make eye contact with me and then blatantly ignore me. Was finallyseated at a gross table, waited another 10 minutes for someone to come take our drink order. We left without ordering and wewent when it?s wasn?t busy. Read more
