Great food and very friendly staff. I came in later in the day and they were very accommodating. Food was excellent. I can't... wait to come back! Update: Returned and had the smoked brisket and pulled pork. Divine! The meat melts in ypur mouth. They gaveus an assortment of sauces to try. 2 kinds of barbecue and a horseradish sauce. All were delicious. Also, try Leona's ice creamsandwiches. They are worth the cost. We have not had a bad combination! Read more

Oh lord this place is good! My husband and I took a drive down from Pittsburgh for the day to explore Wheeling and we?re so glad... we stopped at this gem. The husband and wife team that own the place are the nicest people we?ve come across in a long time. Youcan tell they?re passionate about what they do. I had the chopped brisket sandwich with a side of mac and my husband had the ribplate with collard greens and cucumber salad - all fantastic. The traditional bbq sauce and the apple butter were perfect. Wealso got a couple Leona?s ice cream sandwiches for dessert?delicious. The owner also let us try a fried rib which changed mylife lol. Got a little bit of everything. Ribs were fantastic. Pulled pork, and the jalapeno cheddar brat were delicious. Got some Mac n... cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, macaroni salad, and cornbread. They also had cucumber salad and greens on the board so we had totry that. We got some of every sauce, and I recommend you do the same... They're all different and good in their own way. Theyhave some cold drinks available and they also make their own kombucha? The staff was very friendly, and we didn't wait long atall. This is local artisan BBQ. Everything was well made. They have a large offset smoker behind the small building housing this BBQ.... There is also an Old Hickory upright smoker. I learned Thursday is brisket day and am glad my passing through town coincidedwith that meat. Sauces were nice to sample, but not needed to enjoy the flavor of the meats. I ate my me at one of two picnictables outside in the shade. Read more

While visiting from Buffalo our group stumbled on this place after a long round of golf. Most satisfying meal I've had in a... while. Fantastic smoked chicken. The ribs had this bark that was perfect. And the sides were great. Especially the pickles andpickled onions. A couple of pic nic tables out back for seating. But I would stand in place to eat that bbq again. Must callahead for the brisket. The person working the register was very friendly! And spoke with the guy rolling all the smoke out back.Such nice and welcoming people. They made the whole experience that much better. Read more

This place is so good. The ribs have a really good smoke to them and they fall off the bone. The Mac and cheese is soft, the... beans are incredibly well seasoned. I like a BBQ that dry rubs their ribs and then just asks if you want barbecue sauce becauseI feel like you get the best flavor profile that way, and these are spectacular. They also offer on draft kombucha which isdelicious! This restaurant is definitely a hole in the wall but there is 100% a reason for their success! Highly recommend! Read more
