Went there last night for dinner and a few drinks and was there an hour and a half and had dinner and 1 drink. The server would... disappear for minutes at a time. We we sat there for an hour with no drink. Not once did she stop and ask if we wanted anotherdrink. I spoke up and said I wanted to pay my tab but the server was out to her car. He said I was being rude by speaking up. Hewas rude to say anything at all. I will never be back. Read more
The food and quality has not been the greatest here of late. Definitely has been better. Not terrible but portions and service... are not the same anymore. Would still go back. Read more
Food and service was amazing! I had the Woodsdale chicken and was not disappointed. The chicken was tender and juicy, the greens... crisp and full of flavor and a side of rice which was just awesome. Having live music was just icing on the cake. Read more
Terribly slow and unatentive service. They were dead and we still waited almost 1.5 hours for our food and had to pretty much... go get our drink refills from the bar because we were seldom checked on. We did manage to get our appetizer after waiting 30minutes. The "grilled" portobello mushroom appetizer was greasy af and definitely deep fried. I usually try to give restaurantsthe BOTD having been in the business but there was really no excuse for this experience. Read more
It pains me to write a negative review. However, after experiencing 24 hours of food poising-my wife and I will NOT be returning... or ordering takeout ever again from The West. The days of fresh food from the original Alpha are a thing of the past. Not onlythe food poisoning we experienced 4/15/22 that ultimately wrecked our Easter Weekend- the most upsetting is the lack of empathyfrom The West management when bringing this to their attention. Be warned Ohio Valley-- the food is subpar at best and mostlikely heated, cooled, re-heated, and cooled multiple times. A perfect breeding ground for bacteria. If I could rate The Westlower than one star- I would. Read more
Great food and great service! Jeremiah is awesome. He is always friendly and attentive. The food is amazing. There is a nice... variety, but it is the quality that keeps me coming back. They also have brunch on Sundays! Their breakfast sausage is the besti have ever had. Check out this gem, you will not be disappointed!! Read more
Cozy place with friendly folks on both sides of the bar, great food, expansive menu and fantastic service (Corrie was awesome).... Had the tasty tuna salad and calamari. Free pool tables. Will return here next trip to Oglebay. Read more
We had lunch at The West Saturday 8/20/22. Food was great, place was clean, and people couldn't be better.
