Food was good. Kids enjoyed theirs too. The stand out to me was the kids macaroni and cheese being homemade. They were short... staffed on our visit; the waitresses were doing lots of work. I ordered three food items and they were all really good. The chicken soup reminded me of my grandma?s homemade soup, it tasted... nostalgic. The Greek gyro sandwich was on point! The tzatziki sauce was my favorite part. Then for dessert I had the carrot cakeand the cream cheese frosting tasted homemade. I really enjoyed it. Would order all again. Read more

This is a really good diner. We were headed up north for the weekend and decided to stop here on Friday night for dinner. I... find more often than not in NJ that diner food is acceptable if not exceptional. In this case, I got the Brookside Burger whichwas perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients and my wife got the pancakes. Another good thing was that the portions werereasonably sized and we left feeling full without feeling stuffed. If you are ever in the area I would highly recommend. Read more

This is a very versatile restaurant. There are pages and pages of options on the menu!!! There?s an all day breakfast menu with... options such as omelets. There?s wraps, sandwiches and dinners! My husband and I split a turkey burger on whole grain breadwith mozzarella cheese, grilled mushrooms and spinach! It was so good!!! We ordered from the healthy choices menu, but wedecided to add French fries to the sandwich!!! It was all very tasty!! The menu had Greek undertones on the food choices. For years, Brookside Diner has been our favorite go-to restaurant. It offers an excellent menu selection and every meal we have... eaten there has been delicious and beautifully presented.
