As always the food is superb at Hy's. Shared a porterhouse as the portions are very large for one person. It was cooked to... perfection. The cesear salad is always fun to share as they make it tableside. Tried the pecan carrots which was a nice twistto cooked carrots. Went to Hys for the first time on a recent trip to BC. Dinner was absolutely fantastic. Our server, Rich, was attentive & funny.... He was able to answer any questions we had and was able to give sound recommendations. Our steaks were all cooked to perfection,and were so tender they melted in our mouths. Dessert was fantastic as well. Highly recommend the cheesecake and the bananasfoster for some table side entertainment! Read more
Amazing meal! We shared. 20 oz porterhouse steak, added the carrots and Brussel sprouts...so delicious! We had oysters and... prawns cocktail for our appies and keylime pie for dessert. They were so sweet and added the anniversary wish! The red theirsommelier suggested was the perfect pairing for our meal! At $200 for the bottle it was well worth the cost. Read more

Had a delicious meal at Hy?s with a friend! The restaurant itself is quite large and spacious. Service was attentive. Got the... classic appetizers to start - the cheese bread was delicious. The table side Caesar salad was fun to watch, and tasted greattoo. Got the special of the evening - steak, prawns, mashed potato and veggies. Great location, lovely seatings, fine dining atmosphere, and service to match. The chef really wowed us; the dishes were... gorgeous. Fresh as heck local seafood. The oysters are succulent. The scallops are melt in a bite buttery. The salads are crisp, fresh, and perfectly aiolied. The crab cakes are well seasoned and chuck full of crab meat. The fish is delish. Steaks arepretty good, too, but I would definitely return for the seafood. For a steak house, the seafood is the star! Read more
Good but nothing spectacular commensurate to its price. Ordered lobster and steak for $90+ and this is what it looks like.... Flavourful and taste good but presentation is underwhelming. Service is top notch and enjoyed the night overall. Read more
We decided to come here for our special honeymoon dinner and what a great decision that was! The food was truly amazing and... incredibly delicious. All of our food came out in a timely manner, and tasted incredibly fresh. Not only was the food tasty butthe atmosphere was very soft and inviting! We both agreed that by far the best part of our whole experience was our serverAustin. He was knowledgeable of the different plates as well as his wine lists; but it was his genuine personality and easyability to chat with us that made it a memorable experience. We would highly recommend anyone looking for an unforgettable nightto stop by for some dinner and fingers crossed you?ll have Austin as your server!
