Quite amazed that the food could be this bad with the high prices they charge. I ordered a dry aged steak and it came with the... sides completely hard, I could barely cut into it. From what I understand, this is the outside of the beef that gets dried outduring the aging process. This part should have been cut off as it's basically beef jerky. The other person at our table alsohad the same issue. The reason why I give them a 2 star is because I got my steak comped, but in the end I went hungry because Icouldn't eat the steak. Read more

A classic restaurant with great food and excellent service. I miss the days of the classic hotel restaurant. The Grill Room is... that old school, big chair, fine linen, tableside preparation restaurant, a true fine hotel dining room. Adam our waiter wasfantastic, great knowledge, service and pace. He even knows how to flambe, a lost art. We very much enjoyed our evening with theGrill room and Adam , great job. Read more

The wait staff was incredible and the food was fantastic. We?ve eaten at other restaurants at the Fairmont, but this is easily... the best. We had a typical selectIon of steaks and sides, but the staff served us a number of iced wines along with outcocktails. The food was fantastic, and the cocktails were better. This is one of the best experiences in Whistler. Read more

We had the most enjoyable evening that we made reservations again for the following night and cancelled our other plans! The... entire staff was amiable, especially our waiter Paul. The service made the evening very engaging and our meal was delectable. Also once again, the mixologist Ben engaged our senses with the Red Velvet Martini that has elevated our expectations forcocktails. Worst meal ever in Whistler. Forgot to add add base to table side tomato gin soup. Seared Foie gras was served cold. 120$ Steak... was half fat. Knives were dull and unable to cut steak. Duck and sable fish were ?terrible?. Cotton Candy from past is gone.Children were disappointed. Awful meal for $872. Read more

We visited in 2017 and stumbled across this gem just walking around looking for a nicer place to eat. It was incredible then,... and it lived up to our expectations once again. Despite being Valentine's Day, the service was very good, food was prepared andserved in a very reasonable time, as were our drinks. Everything was fantastically prepared, tasted great, and looked like whatI'd expect from the price tag. When we go to The Grill Room, we aren't there to eat, we're there to experience culinaryart. Very pricy, but worth it. Ask about recommendations from your waiter, and get the wine pairings. They know what the bestdishes are and what to pair them with. Read more

Ambiance. Quaint and elegant Service. Professional. But a bit understaffed. Food. High expectations. Poor execution. It stared... out with the underwhelming amuse bouche. Was some type of eggplant with other items. Had an overly vinegary taste. Kobe steakwas ok. Not super tender and flavorful as expected. Fois gras dish was odd. There were two sauces. One was like a mayonnaise.Fois gras was ok. But oddly was served on a brioche doused with sauce that made it soggy. Made this fois gras loverdisappointed. For the price tag....Totally not worth it.
