Staff was very friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. The food was delivered hot, and within a timely manner which... was unexpected due to how busy they were, I wish I could remember our server's name because she was very friendly, personable,and made our experience more enjoyable. A wonderful dinner thanks to incredible customer service!! The food was great and prices reasonable. The staff seem so happy and... energetic. My son and I sat at the bar due to a long wait for a table and yet our waitress/bartender made sure we were welltaken care of. She was warm and friendly and very good at her job despite having her arm in a cast. My son also commented on howawesome she was. Lately, it's very rare to have such an experience eating out. It was an amazing service. I want to congratulate the manager and the server Chris. Chris and Emma were amazing and always on... top of the game. We reserved tables for 24 people to celebrate a birthday. They helped 150% with the cake and making sure wehad everything we needed. The attention to detail was very commendable. It has been our favorite East Side location for a whileand will continue to be. Kudos to the team!! ????????. Oh and of course the food was great!! One happy family!! Read more

We’re a family from out of town visiting Ontario for the first time. Our dining experience at East Side Mario’s in Whitby... was unfortunately unpleasant and quite disappointing. We were promptly greeted and seated at a booth. Our orders were taken byour server Krysta V. She served us our drinks, salad and bread and didn’t bother to ask how we were doing or needed refills. She disappeared for some time until our main meals were ready. She surprisingly passed my children hot plates without warning. We’re dumbfounded by her actions, she definitely lacks common sense. She then slammed a hot plate on the table because it wastoo hot for her to handle (and to think it was safe to pass hot plates to children). She did not check in with us anddisappeared in the back area. Her body language was poor, her decision making needs work and overall customer service was poor. We’d rather be served by the robot. I believe my family and I were friendly, patient and understanding. We left therestaurant in disbelief by Krysta’s performance. Thank you for showing my children what NOT to do. Great example! We had a great time at the esm Whitby location! It's been years since I've eaten at an East Side Mario's, and this was a... delicious visit! My family had a great time and all of the food was fresh! Great food, really great staff and service. The new service robot is fun to watch going around delivering food to the tables and... collecting empty plates. Kids menu is decent and good thing is their quantity is always more than enough. Read more

Hostess did not give a warm welcome at all. Almost felt that we were an inconvenience. Took 10 mins to be acknowledged once... seated. Another table who was seated 30 mins after us, got their meal before ours and I know our order was taken prior totheirs. Kids speciality drink didn't come as described. I had to ask for the cotton candy it was supposed to come with. Kidspizza came out burnt. They were noticeably short staffed. Trying to be understanding during these covid times but as someonewith a customer service background, certain basics still should have been met. Read more
