Got the steak frites (medium-rare) with truffle fries. The steak and sauces exceeded my expectations. It was a perfect... medium-rare. The truffle fries were a disappointment. Fries came out cold and soggy. They used cheap Parmesan and truffleoil. Portion sizing was excellent, and I left full. Overall… it’s Jack Astors. UPDATE: updating my previous 2 star to a 4 star simply because the food is delicious and they addressed this issue promptly.... This location really took it to 11 to try to resolve my complaint by ensuring our next experience is much better than this one.They also will be utilizing this review as training for their new team members, which is what I was hoping for, so that othercustomers do not encounter this same issue. The chicken fingers have always been my husbands favourite but it seems they’renow smaller portions with higher pricing. We called tonight and were left on hold and had to hang up and call back to try to getahold of someone to take our order. We ordered just 2 chicken finger entrees and fries and after tip it came to $50. When we gothome, the portions were so dinky for that price and we were upset to find out that they have a takeout promotion for $39.99where we could have gotten garlic bread, 2 chicken fingers entrees and 2 kids meals…how did we pay $43+tip for just 2 chickenfinger entrees when we could have gotten all of that? lol If someone calls in and is ordering something that has a promotion,they should tell you about the promotion! We visited this location last Saturday with some friends and 2 little toddlers after we left Chuckie cheese which is right... around the corner. After a 30min wait, we got seated comfortably and the kids also got high chairs. Our waiter ANDY went aboveand beyond all expectations. He checked in quite often to ensure we had a great time.
