Dishonest establishment. I normally don?t post negative reviews, but I feel that I need to in this case. We were only a group of... four, but the restaurant added a $10 ?inflation charge? and a $10 ?table charge.? These charges would not have been an issueexcept that the restaurant didn?t disclose them when we sat down or when the bill was presented. I would not return for thisreason. Read more

I read reviews and was told by a close friend it was a nice place to be. Unfortunately our meal took a bad turn when we had to... deal with the owner who argued with us when we tried to have a conversation regarding us finding hair in 2 of our dishes. Theyreplaced one dish with the choice of anything on the menu or the same. Eventually the dish was taken off our bill after arguingwith us. There is also a $2.50 charge per person whether you eat or not, this is mentioned on their website. The food wasmediocre, it?s not something that really wows you. Service was alright. I felt bad the server had to witness the argument whenthe hair in the dishes were not her fault, and the argument was between a customer and the owner. I wouldn?t come back to thisplace. The owner knows we would never return as our experience wasn?t a good one and it would be hard to come back to give thisplace another chance due to the experience we had. We were disrespected as guests. The owner used his authority to tell hisclients that he was the boss, and he could treat you with disrespect if he wanted to. Read more

This was my husbands birthday dinner & our first date out since having a baby. We chose it because we love the idea of farm to... table & the patio is easily the best in town. I wish i had a better review to leave but honestly we were super disappointed 1?in their inability/inconsistency to follow through with Ontario covid guidelines let alone what they committed to in theirsigns. The waitresses were masked, helpful, socially distanced and delightful. The owner on the other hand wore a mask aroundhis neck but NEVER ONCE (in 1.5 hours there) put it on despite coming up to each table to chat, clean up, & serve. Superdisappointing as it?s such a simple way to put customers at ease. You put every single customer in danger when you so blatantlydisregard the rules leaning against customers chairs to chat with no mask on. 2? we were there 30 minute into the dinnerservice & yet told 7 different things (2 mains, 1 appetizer, 2 drinks, and 2 desserts) weren?t available. Don?t advertise it ifyou don?t have it! It was my husbands birthday and he had researched the meal/dessert and drinks he wanted? not one of thethings we?re in stock. (as pictured these aren?t your friendsnext to us) you went to EVERY table with no mask on for the ENTIRE 1.5 hour we were there. As per the Ontario Covid Guidelinesrestaurants are allowed to open on patios WITH ALL EMPLOYEES MASKED. This isn?t a matter of opinion on whether masks are neededin patio dining ? it?s the law- you are breaking the restrictions by not once wearing a mask while serving your customers. My family and I had an excellent meal at the CornerHouse. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We loved the... mussels and the salad. We sat indoor near the patio doors so we could get fresh air, they provided sterilized blankets that wecould borrow to stay warm. I recommend the CornerHouse. Read more
I just tried the new gastropub menu. The selection of beer is great. All I can say is wow this is by far the best food you can... eat in stouffville right now Definitely the best restaurant and burger in Stouffville . Read more
If I could select 3.5 stars I would so I decided to be generous. Service was excellent. Decor is lovely. I got the scallops... which were good. Liked everything about the dish except the cauliflower which was undercooked. Texture was pretty much like itwas raw. My husband got the rib steak. The steak was obviously good quality and aged. He ordered it medium rare. Because thesteak was rather thin, the cook on it was medium tending towards medium well. The mashed potatoes that accompanied it werelukewarm at best. He enjoyed the micro brewery beer. Would we return? I say yes but he is undecided. Read more
