Had the walleye sandwich dinner. Not bad, the fish portion was small. The JD burger was good. The sauce tastes just like JD... whiskey. The Calamari was good, not chewy, but there wasn't much there, it was more veggies than Calamari. Overall not too badbut was a little on the high side of a normal dinner price wise. Read more

First time at White Bear Lake and decided to have some breakfast here. Mainly because I preferred tequila instead of coffee and... they were the only bar open at 8:30am. I did order tequila on the rocks, which is my go-to drink at any bar but this placemixed the tequila with water. which was an odd choice - I ended up barely drinking it. Anyways, I ordered the eggs benny, whichis what I always order at new places. Its my way of judging how good they are ????. Unfortunately, it was a bitdisappointing. The hollandaise sauce was good, but the eggs were well done and tasted like hard boiled eggs instead of a nicerunny poached ones. The hash browns were extremely thin and because of that were oozing with oil ????. I asked for the Canadianbacon well done but it wasn?t, so I couldn?t eat it. I do realize this isn?t a Gordon Ramsey kitchen, its just a bar, but beingin such a nice downtown area in a rich neighborhood near the lake - I had higher expectations for a Egg Benedict. Also, theservice was what really sucked. Although the staff was nice, it took forever to get anything. I waited literally 20 minutesafter I ate for someone to give me the bill, and I also had to wait 15 minutes for the eggs benny while the place was prettyempty, there was maybe 3 tables full. Stopped in to grab some dinner with the wife and son. It was a super nice day so we wanted to go to a place that had a nice... patio in WBL. This was not our first time here, but we did all order something new. The patio is awesome. Definitely worthchecking it out if you want to sit outside. The food options are also good. Mainly burgers and bar style options. The friedpickles are awesome and they get snatched up quick. The cajun style chicken sandwich was super good. My wife ended up gettingthe Quesadillas and it was huge with many sides. My sons go to for many places is the buttered noodles, and he definitely got amuch bigger portion than most other places. Been here twice for breakfast. Great atmosphere, and I love the patio. Friendly staff and good food. I'll be back for sure.

I eat here on a regular rotation. Breakfast is the best. Lots of seating, unlike the "other" breakfast spot in town. The service... is great. Bartender ? RJ, is always right there to help. Nice atmosphere, very relaxed. The wait staff is helpful selecting a drink or menu item. The shrimp soft tacos is crazy good.

I don't usually trust shrimp tacos in MN, but these were really good. Steak with the Steak Fajitas was especially flavorful and... high quality meat. Overall, well worth the effort it took to find this place! Read more
