The Salsa is perfect, that's about all I got. I'd say this place has about the same to offer as any other Mexican Restaurant.... Very greasy food. Some of it is good. The price they charge for cheese on rice is absurd. Read more

Anyone driving on I-65 north of Nashville, Tn. This is a good Mexican restaurant to stop and enjoy a cold beer. Am giving them... 4stars this time because the burrito I ordered was more like a salad than a typical burrito, I did not enjoy it! I went for theBeto?s burrito, they have other burrito options, I choose the wrong one. But I will definitely be back to give them the otherstar. Stopped at the Loves truck stop across the street and seen this place and decided to give it a try. The chips, salsa and guac... were awesome! I also loved how my soda was served in an ice cold mug! I ordered the super combination which was alot of food, myfavorite was the taco, tamale and enchilada out of the 5 but overall decent food for a good price. Read more
My family and I tried this restaurant on a whim. To be honest, Tennessee and/or Kentucky are not really known for anything... "authentic" outside of fried chicken or BBQ. I have been constantly disappointed in what is considered "Mexican food" out hereand horrified that a lot of the demographic REQUIRE some nasty white goop that they even consider "queso". ???????? Needless tosay, to find any good eateries without names like, "El Cilantro, Uncle Julios, The Border Cantina, Cinco de Mayo", just to namea few, ??????????? adds insult to injury but I digress. We stopped at El Ranchero because our trip to Springfield was cut shortdue to everything being closed. We saw that in Springfield, there was a higher population of Latinos and being adjacent to thecity White House, TN - we were hopeful. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT (but this was also due to the constant reiterating of, "No whitequeso on anything, please!" IYKYK I ordered the combo of Chile Relleno with a Cheese Enchilada that comes with a side ofrefried beans & rice. My fiancé ordered the Chile Colorado served with a side of beans & rice and flour tortillas. Myteenager ordered fried shrimp wrapped in bacon. He is very picky but he loves shrimp and bacon. ??????????? It also came with aside of quesadilla which was delicious! The cheese definitely reminded me of an authentic staple growing up. ???? The sweet teawas good but my son didn't get refills so I cant say if it is the best. They did serve fountain Coke- which I prefer. Then myfiancé and I decided to try a Margarita. We tried an original, no frills, on the rock. It was served in the typical big glasswith rim on salt. Flavorful & good on alcohol (cant remember price). They were quick to seat upon entering. The staff wasfriendly with the greetings. Our server Marcos was friendly, attentive, and extremely helpful on making sure that I would ordera delicious meal.
