7.18.22 What an unexpected surprise we found on a rainy day. This place has a huge collection of old toys griuoed by decade and... category. Plus connected is a country store, so you can buy food, VT made maple syrup, wines, jams, etc and it's next door isthe country store. The Toy Museum is very clean, ample parking, lots of toys to see from collections of lunch boxes, robots, pez, trains, etc to toys groups by the 60s, 70s, 80s. Fun venue for all ages. Read more

There is a suggested donation for entry. It feels like an organized hoarders collection. Stuff is packed in tightly and even... hanging from the ceiling. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit but if you are passing through it's worth half an hour of yourtime. Read more

Very cool museum, quite the collection, even for a relatively small space. It would be EASY to spend many hours here studying... specific toys or eras of interactive play elements. Ranging from centuries old ideas to modern electronics, the collectionspans the gamut and epoch of human commercial play items. I'd be VERY interested in seeing them find a new space to install anexhibit that investigates the individual, non-commercial, and imaginative play elements of human behavior. Taking simple puppetforms from natural items and imaginative visualization with narrative that we ALL go back to in our minds replaying past eventsor imagining future experiences. Read more
