One of my favorite things to do after returning from a vacation into Mitchell Field is lunch or dinner at historic Jack Pandl's... Restaurant. The white tablecloth elegance, extensive menu, great service, and beautiful orchestral music in the background alwaysmakes for a romantic and relaxing meal...it reminds me of why I love living in Wisconsin! Do not go here! Was just there and very disappointed in what we just spent vs what we got. Duck tasted so old and smelled like a... wet dog. Stuffing smelled and looked like can dog food. Husband got the sausage platter that was so over cooked you couldn'tbite into it. When we put our food to the side the waiter didn't offer boxes just asked if we were done. Didn't ask if somethingwas wrong just picked up the plates and walked away to get our bill and acted like this was normal. This was not worth $76dollars for food we did not eat or get to take home (if we had wanted to). Read more

Came in on a Friday at 1 pm. Restaurant was less than 25% capacity. It took an hour to receive our entrees. We ordered the fish... fry, so not entirely sure how that took an hour. Whitefish was broiled not fried (advertised as an option for the fish fry), wasovercooked and only lukewarm. Staff was apologetic but not enough of an effort to garner our return visit. Portion sizes muchsmaller than expected for the price (3 half new potatoes is a portion of potatoes). Read more

Just as good as we remembered from our childhood. Everything was delicious. We loved the bread crisps.

We sat outdoors, and the service was a little lacking. There was only one server who was overwhelmed. The bus boys were doing as... little as possible. The food was ok. The kitchen forgot to include all the items we ordered. There was ample wait staff standingaround the bar with no customers inside. Read more

Atmospheric location with excellent food and service! The waiter was very accommodating to our large party, and even comped out... dessert due to a long wait for dinner (not even his fault!) Food was great, as was the bartender. Had no issues mixing up theodd vintage cocktails we ordered. Everything from the salmon to the schnitzel was perfect. Highly recommended Read more

This was my first time back after a very long time. I wasn't overly impressed the first time, but had been wanting to give them... another try. Unfortunately, I will not be going back a third time. While it was easy to make a reservation, and the outdoorpatio seating was lovely and kept warm with heaters, the food we chose was only ok. I had the "spicy chili" to start, whichwasn't spicy at all. It was also served warm instead of hot. For the main course I chose the Lambshank, because I love lamb andit was advertised as fall off the bone. Although the flavors were good, the meat was tough and fairly chewy. It too was servedwarm instead of hot. This restaurant has been around for a very long time (as you can tell by the fairly outdated building) andhas it's fair share of devote followers, so no doubt will continue on as a Whitefish Bay staple. We were driving back home from the UP and decided to have an early dinner somewhere not far from the I-94 expressway so my wife... picked this place. We had the best food we could imagine. I had the deep fried lake perch and she had the baked whitefish. Bothwere outstanding, they really know how to prepare them. Highly recommend! Read more
