Pekadill's will be a spot we visit every time we are in town. Went at 2:30 on a Saturday and it was only a short wait before... they took our order at the counter. A steady pace of customers walked in and easily filled out the front room, backroom andlarge outdoor patio seating. The place was very clean and well staffed that kept themselves busy. You order food and continuedown the line to grab chips and a drink. There you will pay and get a number card for them to run the food to yourtable. Unfortunately, we had dinner in 3 hours and didn't want to gorge. Well, I did eat this pretty heavy French Dip that Ihad to try after looking at the quality of what others were eating. After having many disappointing French Dips at diners on theEast Coast, this was quite the surprise. I'd be shocked if they didn't roast the beef in-house. Tender, perfectly sliced andseasoned. I ordered a side of horseradish which rounded out the sandwich nicely. 5/5 My wife a had the veggie pocket andenjoyed it, but said it could have used a bit of a vinegary element. We will save room for ice cream next time as theirselection looks pretty impressive with 20+ flavors. Read more

Went here for dinner with a couple of friends during our stay in Whitehall for vacation and hands down one of the best sandwich... shops I've ever been to! The prices of the sandwiches to the quality and size you get are very reasonable. The decor and gardenseating speak of a very Americana vibe with white and red wooden trim. Sort of like an old style ice cream parlor. The staffwas incredibly friendly and very fast for service. The menu has a wide variety of different sandwiches to choose from andinclude different types of icecream and are perfect for anyone wanting to potentially picnic in the surrounding area throughtakeout. Wonderful place to eat! The garden seating is so beautiful and the tables are arranged in a way to make it as private or... communal as you want. The sandwiches and sides are delicious and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I would love togo near dusk to see the lights shining in their waterfalls. Read more

Food and service was very good. Food was fresh and sandwiches were a good value. Side macaroni and potato salad are very good,... soup looked thick and delicious.Friendly staff and fast service.Would have given a 5 star but decor needs work. What a find! We were traveling with our dog and just happened to be near this place at lunchtime. It is October and a lot of... places have closed down for the year. This one has an awesome selection of sandwiches , quick service and a really nice gardenarea with tables. Dogs are allowed in the garden and they have water out for them . I had a 6? French Dip (3 sizes available)and hubby had a beef sandwich on rye. Both were excellent! Will definitely stop here next trip! Read more
