This is often said to be a must visit for food when in Whitehorse, and with pretty good reason. The restaurant is only open... seasonally for the prime tourist times (ie closed for the winter). The food is generally pretty good to excellent, and theyoffer a variety of game meats from Yukon animals such as elk and bison. They also have a few fish options from regionallysourced fish like salmon and halibut from Yukon and Alaska. Good atmosphere, good staff, good food. It?s hard to go wrong with avisit here to eat. The catch is that the restaurant is fairly small and can have long waits to get in. Read more

Came for lunch. Staff very friendly and got in quickly. Looks like it gets busy. Food is good. Had a BLT wrap and Salmon... sandwich. The fries need seasoning and to be honest the salmon piece was pretty small. Everything was adequate but nothingoutstanding. Read more

Every year, they only open for four months. From mid-May till Sept. Their bison steak is pretty great! Fish and chips are... awesome! They like to promote the ribs, they are good but not as special as expected. No Amex allowed. Would highly recommendmake a reservation first. It?s a minimum 45 mins wait for walk in. Read more

Good salmon skewers, ribs were tasty and tender but most of the membrane appeared to still be there. We ordered a side of... focaccia bread which wasn't great, but the beer made up for it. The salmon and ribs special was plenty for two. Cool atmosphere, good service - I'd go there again. Read more

Came in for supper after a day of hiking and exploring. A great, delicious, unfussy and hearty meal. The fried fish was salmon... (something I haven?t tried before)? excellent. Fried chicken was superb with elk gravy. There were enough mashed potatoes tofeed a small army. The decor is very rustic and fun. I think this is a great spot to enjoy in Whitehorse! Read more

Stopped by late afternoon and was greeted warmly by the hostess. She immediately offered me a table on the cute front patio,... surrounded by flowers and covered by an umbrella to keep the sun off on a very warm day. The staff was very attentive and maderecommendations. I had the crab cakes. Full stop - they were so delicious! Light, bursting with flavour, and accompanied by alight greens salad and a tasty drizzle. I could have just had these and been satisfied!!! I also ordered the House specialwith two maple salmon skewers and their ribs. The accompaniments for the main meal were very well done. A pickled beet, garlicky mashed potatoes, some veggies, baked beans and corn bread muffin. The portions were generous. The salmon was a bitdry for my liking, and I could not really get a sense of any maple. The ribs were tender and had a nice taste. A very uniqueand worthwhile place to eat at least once on your trip. I will be back for the crab cakes! Read more

Came here for a nice Sunday dinner and we weren't disappointed! I had the crab cakes for an appetizer, the salmon dish for... dinner and took a piece of pecan pie to go. The food was great, the service was awesome and so were all the staff we interactedwith, and the country playlist made everything that much better! Definitely can't wait to come back! Read more
